@solveig283 @AlbaYoung205 Placebo effect. My mom had short hair when I was growing up and had the lesbian assumptions from coworkers and men etc. I had short hair and got teased about being a boy or an “it. Nothing to do with the current trans hate epidemic, always been this way
@solveig283 I grew up in the 90s and was relentlessly teased
for keeping my hair short, called a boy, etc. Some people just look more masculine with short hair than others 🤷♀️ also kids are little assholes
@VexElectronica@blairewhite I think nonbinary voices belong within a trans debate as these people do experience some of the same hurdles (dysphoria, discrimination) whether they’ve “made the change” fully or not.
@VexElectronica@blairewhite for people who have done something medical to alter their gender presentation. This makes more sense to me, but I also have a few trans friends w NO hormones/procedures who pass v easily, so that requirement seems imperfect as well.
@AlSultan_Meriam@blairewhite You can call someone disgusting for their behaviour/attitude without it being related to their identity. It would be transphobic if she was being called disgusting by virtue of being trans. Hope this helps!
@ScreakyKakes Horrifying. When I lived in Montreal (2010ish) there was a bedbug scare (they were found in theatre seats etc) thank GODS I managed to avoid them. Weird though! Wonder if it’s been an issue for a while? Lots of my quebecois pals vacationed in Paris
@ScreakyKakes @AltNeonMunky What gets me is the whole “gender is immutable” until a female has a sharp jaw or deep voice (or makeup mustache) then suddenly they’re men! It’s hypocritical and makes no sense! I love ya forever I know you’re smarter than that, social media is a cesspool etc
@ScreakyKakes @AltNeonMunky I appreciate you trying to set people straight when they were attacking me over the Jordan pp stuff but these people are super hateful and unhinged!
