One cannot ignore that the brave humanitarians aboard the flotilla, who risked their lives to deliver aid their own governments failed to provide, still have those same governments to fight for them when they are illegally taken at sea.
We, Palestinians in Gaza, have no such protection.
When we disappear, whether taken from hospital beds, buried beneath the rubble of our homes, or burned alive in makeshift tents, we vanish without a trace.
My heart is shattered for my people: erased without names, without photos, without graves, and without media.
Once they are gone, they are gone.
