Statement from Arla’s parents, after her teen killer was found not guilty of murder and manslaughter last week.
Arla,
Today, we were told that the 15-year-old boy who killed our beautiful 9-year-old niece, Aria, with a single stab wound to the chest is NOT GUILTY of murder or manslaughter.
How is this justice?
What message does this send to society? What does it teach people when a child can lose her life in such a horrific and senseless way, yet nobody is held accountable?
The UK is facing an epidemic of knife crime, and cases like this only leave families wondering what consequences truly exist. Something has to change.
Aria was only 9 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her. She should be making memories, laughing with her family, growing up and chasing her dreams. Instead, we’ll try live every day with a pain that will never leave us.
Our family has effectively been handed a life sentence. We will carry this grief, heartbreak, and loss for the rest of our lives.
Meanwhile, the person responsible walks free.
We will never stop speaking Aria’s name. We will never stop fighting for justice. And we will never stop loving and missing our beautiful girl.
Rest in peace, Aria. Forever 9 💔
Come and protest with us. The king is constitutionally a Christian Monarch, not a multi faith king. The king needs to honour his oath. Let us the people, hold the king to account.
@hillingdon531@IainSankey That’s a problem if he intends to defend Islam too, as their religion says God has no Son. It’s a direct attack on the very gospel and what he promised God to defend.
@ShepherdWales A non change? He swore to defend the gospel - look at his oath - Islam says God has no Son which attacks the very standing of the gospel.
@9Kings1910Alt Then you would know his role is to defend the Gospel - which he swore to do under oath to God.
Islam says God has no Son, this attacks the very premise of the Gospel!
