Reminder that as the world watches the world cup, the actual world is burning.
Gaza is still being wiped out, with even the Egyptian representative who was organizing the watch parties murdered by Israel in what appears to be a sick form of retaliation for the coach of the national team holding up the flag and cause of Palestine at the world cup. Lebanon is still under attack and an expanding occupation. And another round of stupidity and recklessness of the Iran war is now going to lead to even more casualties. All along, so many of the African nations, even if represented on the field, carry the weight of generations of exploitation.
Just be careful not to let the spectacle make you forget the suffering, the silenced, and the systems that keep crushing them.
May Allah keep our hearts awake, our eyes open, and our actions guided. May He protect the innocent and oppressed all around, and make an example of their oppressors. Ameen
You made us all proud team Egypt 🇪🇬.
Got clearly cheated out of a goal, and overrun by FIFA corruption.
But hold your heads high like Coach Hossam held the flag of Palestine 🇵🇸.
They can’t VAR this.
Physicians for Human Rights Israel has warned that Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, is now in immediate danger of being killed in Israeli occupation custody. His lawyer, Nasser Odeh, who visited him on 2 July at the underground Rakefet interrogation facility inside Nitzan Prison, said he barely recognized him. Dr. Abu Safiya was brought in shackled hand and foot, flanked by masked guards, his head, eyes, ears and neck covered in fresh injuries. He struggled to breathe and speak, could not sit upright without nearly collapsing, and seemed close to losing consciousness, too frightened to speak freely.
He told his lawyer that after his Supreme Court appeal was heard in June, guards entered his solitary cell and beat him with a hammer and batons, and that since his transfer to Rakefet on 24 June he has been beaten daily to the point of repeatedly losing consciousness, with no medical care. He said plainly: this is the last time you will see me, they brought me here to kill me. Held since December 2024 under the occupation's "Unlawful Combatants" law, without charge or trial, Dr. Abu Safiya saw his beatings escalate sharply only after he legally challenged his detention, and both his lawyer and PHRI are demanding his immediate transfer, an independent medical examination and his release, warning that any delay could cost him his life.
Every single day, I find myself overwhelmed by the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the criminals expanding into the Westbank and Lebanon, the continued global indifference towards Sudan, the refugees among us who arise from the causes we claim dear to us that get virtually zero community support, the forgotten political prisoners left to languish in dungeons like graves beneath the earth, and the painful feeling that I am still not doing enough for any of them.
May Allah relieve the oppressed, free the imprisoned, and forgive our shortcomings.
One of the most brutal scenes in human history has been exposed.
This video shows three young men trying to help an injured person, but Israel bombs them with a missile, killing them all.
A moment the world must never forget.
🚨The recent images of Dr. Hussam Abu Safyia are shocking evidence of Israel's abuse against Palestinian detainees.
Dr. Abu Safyia has been arbitrarily detained for one and a half years without charges, while being physically abused and denied healthcare.
His recent solitary confinement adds a further layer of concerns over his deteriorating health. Dr. Abu Safyia must be immediately and unconditionally released. Israel must release all Palestinians arbitrarily detained. States must pressure Israel to stop abusing Palestinian prisoners.

🔴 Israel closed Gaza’s crossings after Iran and Israel traded fire yesterday, halting the departure of critically ill patients in need of treatment abroad.
According to doctors, around 4,000 cancer patients and 20,000 patients are unable to leave the territory for life-saving care.
20-year-old Malak Naim died after repeated delays prevented her from accessing treatment outside Gaza until it was too late, Gaza Notifications reports. Medical officials say the collapse of Gaza’s oncology system and restrictions on medical evacuations have turned many otherwise treatable cancers into death sentences, per Al Jazeera.
Remember how everyone rushed to use his photo, of his walking toward an IDF tank to advocate for the lives of his patients? Rushed to plaster it everywhere, rushed to make AI edits, art, whatever. That was in December 2024.
How often is he mentioned today? He is alive, he is being tortured and slowly killed - he, alongside every Palestinian hostage, must be freed.
Israel's conviction rate of Palestinians (in military courts) is 99.74%
Israel's conviction rate of reported settler attacks on Palestinians is 1.8%
Israel's death sentence will only apply against Palestinians not Israeli Jews
It's not complicated. It's Apartheid!
#RememberGaza is trending. Let’s keep it going.
For every orphaned child, raped Palestinian, and innocent person shot and killed by the IDF as they ran to collect food amidst starvation.
They raped a man.
They gang-raped him.
They raped him so brutally that he had to be hospitalized.
Doctors documented the injuries.
The video of the assault was leaked.
Now the rapists are free.
This is not just unlawful and immoral. It is sick!
#ThisIsIsrael
Insane framing.
He was anally gang-raped.
He was severely beaten and then anally gang-raped on camera. Both a knife and a taser were reportedly used.
There was a hole in his rectal wall. He got surgery for it.
Because he was anally gang-raped by the IDF (on camera).
He also had 7 broken ribs and other injuries as well.
After it happened, Israelis staged multiple large protests in the streets. Not because they believe these soldiers did anything wrong, but because they were infuriated that the soldiers were arrested for anally gang-raping a Palestinian on camera.
These protests weren’t just random people. They included multiple high ranking Knesset members (their Congress) who defended the anal gang/rapists.
They didn’t stop there. They went after the lawyer who leaked the video. She was publicly smeared, was forced to resign, and was arrested.
And now the anal gang-rapists who were caught on camera have had their charges dropped. They didn’t win in court. They weren’t somehow exonerated. The charges were completely and indefensibly dropped. The Jerusalem Post reports that there was sufficient evidence to take this to trial.
This is part of a larger pattern of torture and impunity. NYT and many other major outlets have extensively detailed the abuses at the Sde Teiman torture factory. NYT reported that Prisoners lose 30+ pounds, a nurse was anally raped by a metal rod, another man was raped by a dog, and another was anally raped by a fiery hit rod until he died. Yes, the NYT reported all of that. I’ll share sources in the replies. Torture and sexual assault are commonplace at Sde Teiman, and many prisoners die in the process.
The UN concluded that rape from IDF soldiers is so commonplace that it constitutes official “strategy of war”.
And of course these monsters virtually never face jail time. Because Israelis by and large don’t have any problem with any of it.
This is just what their society does.
They torture Palestinians.
An Iranian man left this comment on my YouTube channel. This is without a doubt the single best explanation of the reality facing Iranian people today👇
"As an Iranian, I can tell you the situation is no longer just political—it's existential. We are trapped between two collapsing structures: one internal, one external. On one hand, we face a deeply dysfunctional government, led by the Supreme Leader and the Islamic Republic’s unelected institutions.
Decades of economic mismanagement, suppression of dissent, and brutal ideological control have alienated multiple generations. No one believes in reform anymore—because every attempt has either been co-opted or crushed. But here's the paradox: We are also terrified of regime collapse—because we've watched the aftermath of Western intervention in countries like Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Afghanistan. Each was promised freedom; each descended into chaos, civil war, or foreign occupation.
So no, we don't trust the U.S. or Israel. Not because we support our regime—but because we know how imperial powers treat ‘liberated’ nations in the Middle East.
Freedom, in their language, often means vacuum, fire, and permanent instability. Right now, many Iranians live with three truths at once: The Islamic Republic is morally and politically bankrupt. The alternatives offered by foreign actors are not liberation—they’re collapse.
A bad government is survivable. No government is not. We are not silent because we agree. We are cautious because we’ve learned—too well—what happens when superpowers decide to "help." In a sentence: Iran is a nation held hostage by its own regime, but haunted by the fate of its neighbors. We are stuck in a house we hate, surrounded by fires we fear more."
There was a number of outrageous lies by Mike Huckabee during his interview with Tucker Carlson today.
One big lie was that Israel calls and sends messages to people before they bomb a house.
What a cute country!
This is fucking BS.
That was not what happened to the family of my father’s cousin, who wad killed with his wife, children, wives of children, and the grandchildren. 31 people were killed in one strike, including 18 kids of them kids, youngest was 2 years old, on Oct 13, 2023.
That was not what happened to Joha family, when Israel bombed their home killing over 90 people on Dec 6, 2023. Nor was that what happened to Abu Nasser family on Oct 29, 2024 when Israel killed over 200 people.
Nor was that what happened to my great aunt’s family on Oct 18, 2024 when Israel killed over 15 people including a 7-year-old first cousin of mine.
And the list goes on.
And more?
That was not what happened on Oct 28, 2023 when Israel bombed our house in Beit Lahia. We were lucky to be staying with our relatives in the Jabalia refugee camp that night. But was not what happened to other families the following nights in our city.
Shame on such lies.
Israel did not only kill them in their houses but even did not allow ambulances in many cases to rescue those trapped under the rubble.
EU sanctions impose "socio-economic death sentence" on journalists who challenge official line. The private ordeal of @hussedogru may be a taste of much worse to come — if we don't fight back. - https://t.co/mG1Z0sdMwJ
