Good evening, friends.
One of our fellow countrymen, Steven Munyakho, has been incarcerated since 2011 for manslaughter after a fight with his co-worker in Saudi Arabia turned tragic and led to the death of his colleague. After serving his 5-year jail term, the deceased's family appealed the matter before a Sharia Court, and Stevo was sentenced to death.
However, Stevo has a chance at his life being saved. The family of the deceased demanded a compensation of Kshs. 150 million, upon payment of which Stevo will be released. Thanks to spirited efforts in negotiation by the @ForeignOfficeKE, the period of repayment, which was to lapse earlier this year, has been extended.
I call on all of us to pull together and give the journey to bringing Stevo home one final push. Our unity is our strength, and there is no better way to show that unity than to save the life of one of our own. So I urge you to send whatever little you have to MPesa Paybill Number 8056675, and the account number is your name. Let's Bring Back Stevo!
