The Mediterranean is the only waterway available to Israel, after the closure of the Hormuz and the gulf of Aiden.
Spain controls the strait of Gibraltar, for which Queta is the gate. They can influence Israeli policy by threatening to close that gate.
Israel didn't like that. Hence the stunt in Morocco which is coordinated by their allies in the moroccan regime.
there it is - microsoft will use kimi k3 to power their flagship copilot ai assistant saving up to 60% per token or $600M on every $1B spent on inference spend.
if microsoft chooses to self-host the model once Kimi open sources it on the 27th then this cost reduces even more
love or hate these chinese models, open source is really levelling the field in a big way.

Here we go again.
The big excuse of the big losers in the Johor elections- is the “blue wave.” As if it’s some natural catastrophe like a flood or a typhoon. Why not give credit to the electorate? They have their reasons to reject you.
They’re not stupid.
Back in 2022, when the Malay electorate rejected PH, they similarly blamed the “green wave”. ( Which was a narrative that was divisive and destructive of race relations.)
PH should look at themselves instead. The voters reject PH because they lied on reforms. Again and again and again, PH backtracked & U-turned on reform promises. When asked why - they blame it on coalition partners in the Unity Govt. In other words, they break promises & then blame others.
It’s blatant & voters are sick of it. At least with BN, they know what they are getting; nothing great, but at least not the slippery chameleon talk of PH.
Will they ever change ?
The great lie is that society is divided between rich and poor.
The great truth, as David Friedberg puts it, is makers vs takers.
Makers build, create, and deliver real value: houses, software, art, businesses, and everything that moves civilization forward.
Takers watch, criticize, analyze, and politic. They push the lie that the rich hoard unfairly so the poor must seize it… all while positioning themselves to rule the chaos.
As @friedberg tells his kids: “At the end of the day, if you made something and someone else valued it, you were a maker. That was an amazing achievement. That is a great day.”
Takers thrive on division. Makers drive progress.
Time to choose your side.
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
Purpose has seasons. What drove you through your 20s will exhaust you in your 40s. Growth means letting your previous selves die without calling it failure.
There are two loops in every founder's head.
The autism loop: run your own model to the floor, ignore consensus, hold a thesis when everyone says you're wrong. That makes conviction.
The empathy loop: feel what the user feels, sense what the market wants before it has words. That makes traction.
Most people crank one and starve the other. Pure conviction builds something brilliant nobody wants. Pure empathy builds consensus mush.
PG put the whole job in four words: make something people want. The autism loop makes the something. The empathy loop knows it's wanted. The founder is the bridge.
Most great founders show up dominant in the first loop. That's why they're contrarian enough to try at all. The work is grafting on the second.
There is no place in the world that helps founders make the two loops work together to make great startups than Y Combinator. It is the most gratifying part of our work.
