@moyboy1984@LittlePersonDoc @Dr_BellaR @UKFPO People who are being moved hundreds of miles from their home on the whim on an algorithm deserve to be upset at the moment. Dr's are people too and deserve your empathy. We have been asking for incentivised alternatives to improve the situation in NI for years
@LittlePersonDoc@moyboy1984 @Dr_BellaR @UKFPO The inverse can't have happened due to the model used. London is oversubscribed, usually 3:1/4:1. So unless you rank it 1st you cannot get London. Your comments show you clearly lack any knowledge on the matter - maybe reserve your opinion till you are adequately informed.
Anyone disappointed in the inhumane #UKFPO results today who was allocated Yorkshire & Humber or Trent, feel free to message
I grew up in Trent and did med school in Leeds, there's some great parts to both academically/socially that may give you something to look forward to...
I believe there is a deliberate plan to make being an NHS doctor in the UK as unattractive and unsustainable as possible. The travesty with #UKFPO randomly allocating new doctors anywhere in the country this year is another example of this. What other profession would force you to uproot and move to the other side of the country away from the friends and support network you’ve built up over 5 or 6 years? Other things include flooding the NHS with non doctors, creating bottle necks in specialist training to prevent progression, eroding pay and devaluing the profession in the main stream media.
@wesstreeting what are you planning to do about this? Retention, retention, retention. @mtpennycook
We fundamentally disagree with the decision by the UK Health bodies to move the Specialised Foundation Programme into the PIA system from 2025 and will fight for students by resisting this change in any way that we can.

@PPJSucharitkul@mayanelsoon People have left off awards, prizes & white space questions from oriel if Leeds was their only application because they said they weren't using it...
They will be so limited with what they can do
It's absolutely heartbreaking to see that AFTER many people made hard decisions to apply to other deaneries because of the weighting bias against academia (for an academic jobs) they completely scrap the system without explanation.
A complete lack of respect for applicants
1/ NEW & IMPORTANT: OK on the eve of junior/consultant strikes, we need to talk about these charts (NEW data just in!) 👇
We need to look at them to fix waiting lists & its increasingly clear next GE will be won or lost on the NHS
Please read the whole 🧵 & share widely / RT
@a_younis99 😂😂 oh no
Yeah you dont do jobs for normal FP till you know your trust. SFP jobs you do after you apply and before the 13th Oct.
SFP application you have to select 1 or 2 trusts from the dropdown. The page is like 2nd tab I feel but might be wrong. It's quite early
🧵Read our position statement on physician associates and anaesthesia associates which aims to clarify the confusion over roles, supervision and what patients should expect: [1/2] https://t.co/cgjvE3ztCN
@meganheaguexx This form singlehandedly convinced me Leeds is no longer the right place for an academic SFP post!
Even the London application process is kinder!
@a_younis99 Potentially dangerous.
It means the product doesn't conform with European (CE) or American (FDA) standards for health etc.
Eligible products without CE marks can't be sold in the European trade area because of safety concerns.
Post brexit UK uses UKCA so look for that too...
