Are there other antibodies, besides rituximab/obinutuzumab, that should be tested in combination with BTK inhibitors in CLL? We think that anti-CXCR4 antibodies are particularly interesting candidates (Pavlasova et al, HemaSphere): https://t.co/5kiHEhw5nj

Most structure prediction tools give you 1 answer. #RNA just doesn’t work that way - it's the ultimate shapeshifter. Today, we’re launching #RNAccess by Emergente Inc. with access for academic, nonprofit, and commercial researchers.

RNAccess is powered by #RNAnneal, our physics-grounded #AI engine for #RNA structure prediction. By combining physics-based simulation with Generative AI, RNAnneal captures the structural flexibility that makes RNA both incredibly challenging—and incredibly powerful. The workflow is simple:

🧬Submit an RNA sequence of up to 100 nucleotides (long RNAs coming soon).
⚡Receive a thermodynamically ranked ensemble of high-accuracy 3D structures.
🔍Explore results through intuitive, interactive visualizations in your browser.
🦠Example: A key functional region of SARS-CoV-2 #RNA pictured below was predicted + visualized accurately in #RNAccess (with no prior knowledge, just physics!)

We built #RNAccess to make serious RNA structure prediction more accurate, accessible, and useful for researchers working across all RNA work, from fundamental discovery to applied innovations. No local compute. No pipeline setup. No coding experience needed. Not even a GPU bill - we’ve got that covered 🙇

🎓Academic/non-commercial researchers: Receive a free batch of predictions every month, with pay-as-you-go options when you need more.
🏢Commercial teams: Start with a complimentary prediction, then talk with us about evaluation, confidential use, and larger-scale applications.

How to link a non-coding disease GWAS variant to its target genes in the right cell type?

ENCODE-rE2G, now out in @Nature addresses this through optimal integration of chromatin activity and 3D contact data in 1,458 biosamples.

Pretty interesting story in @ScienceMagazine this week on what looks like a serious problem in the senescence field. More than 400 papers apparently used the wrong antibody for p16-INK4a — an antibody that actually recognizes a completely different, unrelated protein (a component of the actin cytoskeleton). This affects work on senescent cell accumulation in aging and disease, and most critically, some of the evidence base for senolytic drug research.

What concerns me most is that many of these papers somehow got the "right" answer using the wrong antibody. That's not just an innocent reagent mix-up — it raises real questions about data fabrication or selective reporting in at least some of these labs. I've commented before about how ignoring data that doesn't fit the narrative is a major problem in certain areas of the longevity literature (e.g. sirtuins and NAD), and here a potentially widespread example in senescence.

Hopefully journals will investigate and retract as necessary, but based on my experience that seems optimistic. One concrete fix is that journals should flag problematic antibody product codes at submission so reviewers can catch this before publication. Reviewers should absolutely be on the lookout for this going forward.

However, these fixes won't address the larger problem. We need to understand how these scientists got the results they wanted and published them over 400 times (!!!): whether through intentional deception, incompetence, accident, or some legitimate explanation.

Credit for discovering this goes to @addictedtoigno1 who wrote about it first on his blog: For Better Science

We found that many RNA-binding proteins understood to regulate RNA processing can also function like transcription factors and cofactors to directly regulate transcription.

Late breaking from #ASCO26 Day 2 for Lymphoma- FrontMIND trial

👉 Tafa+ Len + RCHOP vs RCHOP in 1L DLBCL IPI 3-5
👉 HR for PFS 0.75
👉 2 yr median PFS 72% vs 65%
👉 overall rate G3/4 TEAEs comparable, but increased cytopenias; febrile neutropenia in Tafa/Len/RCHOP
⭐️Potential new SOC option for 1L DLBCL in high risk pts, regardless of COO.
My concerns : Difficult regimen with weekly Tafa and 10 days of Len; higher myelosuppression/VTE risk with Len; plus concern of CD19 loss and efficacy of 2L CAR 🚗

Amazing! I’m impressed both with the results for a disease we have struggled against forever: pancreatic cancer; and the fact that we can target what we thought we could not ever: RAS.
