@gabsmashh Definitely depends on the boss. But the real question is why work somewhere that your boss isn’t ok with that (for most cases, sure there are certain times where it is ok to expect a more traditional opening). I like working wher I can start a slack with Hey dude, I need to vent

@IanColdwater When one of my ops team member absolutely refused to run a python script I wrote because I wrote it. Two compliments in one. First, that meant the security training was successful, second because it’s always fun to be known as the person who’s scripts should not be trusted ;)

Today I heard a developer say in a zoom meeting “I am not a cryptography expert” while explaining why our product should support TLSv1.0. Security was not invited to this meeting. If only companies had teams that were qualified to give advice on things like this.......smfh
