The three problems I suspect they are targeting:

1. One device instead of two (iPhone + iPad)
2. Better video aspect ratio than iPhone
3. Vision of aging population

Regardless foldables are a niche market. Samsung has been making them for years and they have not taken over but they are selling enough to keep iterating.

Yes. I’m not disagreeing with you. Just asking you to define flop. Is it less than X sold or Y billion in sales or something else? They still introduced a regular iPhone 18 so that and Duo will be splitting their new phone revenue. Counterpoint Research claims iPhone 17 revenue at $170B. My guess is Duo will be 25% of total new phone revenue.
