We are a team of five PhDs from @EDINrobotics and a UG Software Eng student from Heriot-Watt competing in #RoboCup2018 rescue simulation league - virtual robot
The UK-RAS Network is asking all robotics researchers in the network for info on research areas to set up Topic Groups. Please submit the short online form by 14th Nov 2018. https://t.co/J8iZ7idiwv
Amazing news! We are delighted that we've been announced as 2018 Winner of Campaign of the Year for 'Year of Robotics' at the Herald Higher Education Awards #robotics#Edinburgh#TrulyGlobal
This is a picture of the teams in the Rescue Simulation league! We had a lot of fun, Lots of feedback on what does/doesn't work re:our PhDs and met some really great people! Congrats to Cambridge University who won our competition and hopefully see you at #robocup2019
We won our last game, that is 2 out of 3! But it's all still to play for on the final game as it's weighted the highest. It's a large indoor map, so will test our strategies to the max!
We've detected a victim, 2 of our robots are still exploring autonomously, but one wee dude has got stuck. Never mind, swarms have built in redundancy!
@EDINrobotics We won our first round, but there are 3 more to go, which have a higher weighting. Teams are making minor changes just now and the next run is in just over an hour!
Today is the first day of the finals. All scores from the preliminaries have been reset, this is the real thing! 2 days, 4 games, months of strategising + development all come down to what happens in the next 24 hours. Here we go! @EDINrobotics#edinburgh#robotics#robocup2018
