ICPAU President CPA David Timothy Ediomu welcomed delegates and reaffirmed the Institute's commitment to shaping Uganda's economic future through evidence-based policy dialogue and professional leadership during his opening remarks at the 14th CPA Economic Forum.

He applauded the Government's commitment to domestic revenue mobilisation and the implementation of the ATMS strategy, agro-industrialisation, tourism development, minerals, and science & technology—as key pillars for accelerating Uganda's economic growth.

Speaking under the theme, "Powering Uganda's US$500 Billion Future," CPA David Timothy Ediomu called for accountability, innovation, sound governance, strategic investment, and strong partnerships to drive sustainable economic transformation and realise the country's long-term development ambitions.

During the release of the May 2026 Examinations Results, CPA David Timothy Ediomu congratulated candidates who completed their CPA journey and encouraged them to carry forward the values that define the profession; focus, sacrifice, commitment, and ethical practice.

Key highlights from his remarks:
— Finalists were encouraged to take the next step towards ICPAU membership and continue building their professional careers.
— Candidates who faced setbacks were reminded that challenges are part of the journey and should inspire renewed effort and determination.
— Accountants were called upon to use their expertise to support financial management, domestic resource mobilisation, and Uganda’s economic growth.

He appreciated examiners, invigilators, the ICPAU Secretariat, and all stakeholders who contributed to the successful examinations.
