Each space is translated into a soft ceramic shape, representing atmosphere and use, slip cast in stained parian to give an alternative guide that doesn’t rely only on text to communicate. Beautifully made by Studio/HOTMESS. Full collab list linked in the instagram post ^^
We designed a new wayfinding system as part of our project for @SciGalleryLon to improve how their spaces can cater for the multiple communities using their building. We combined clear labelling with a visual abstraction of the spaces into colour and form. https://t.co/dlsPli3OzJ

Details from Women’s Work: London map, designed by us for @PartWCollective 's ongoing project of celebrating contributions to the city by women. Massive congratulations to the team for winning the W award for Research in Gender and Architecture from @ArchReview today.✨
Challenging traditional mapping conventions which tend to focus on roads, we drew a patchwork to hint at how architecture has influence and communities beyond a single building. The stray elements are a nod to the countless unmappable contributions made across the city everyday.
Tomorrow (27.06.2022) at 2pm we will speak at Newnham Rebels conference in Cambridge. In-person only as far as we're aware but if you are in Cambridge you can book a free ticket via Eventbrite

Among the objects in the Bethany Williams display is a jacket made of waste material - can you see the newspaper woven into it? It’s from old issues of the Liverpool Echo. I love how the waste hasn’t been masked and brings to it a wonderful texture 🗞
