The immersive, visceral, elegant, handcrafted and masterful film editing of THE BEAR. The ebb and flow of tension and release that editor Joanna Naugle creates is both hypnotic and magical. The static wide two shot of Richie and Carmy seething says everything.

Question - workflow with composers. I was expecting to receive one track with timed out compositions that go along with my cut that I could plug in, but instead got a ‘that’s not my job’ response and a number of music tracks I had to plug in/edit/mix myself. Is that right?

@brianlevin83 Yeah I thought it was odd too. Creatively, I would’ve expected the composer to want more control over where things start and stop

@nathandowning It’s for a 12 minute short film with about 6 compositions. I don’t know, I figured if they have specific beats they want to hit - they’re the better person to mix their own stuff. The cue sheet I received was very vague
