built on eden, the eglantine fork, yuzu and sudachi, plus zendnevs' dynamic fps patch for bananza. big thanks to everyone behind them. no games, keys or firmware included. download: https://t.co/OuAc3daB4R
@Dudewth66 sorry about that! are you on 1.0.1? if not, try that first. if it still fails: does it not open at all, or crash when the game starts? what gpu and driver? an issue with your log (user/log/eden_log.txt) would help a lot: https://t.co/9lEkEPdwWz
Donkey Kong Bananza at ~120 fps on a mid-range pc (ryzen 7 5700x + rtx 4060 ti), nothing high-end
Anka is out: my performance-focused Switch 2 emulator. dynamic 40-60 fps at correct game speed + FSR3 frame gen up to ~120 on high refresh screens
download link below ๐
@JetShaler fair point. nvidia is the easier path since the switch 2 runs on nvidia hardware, but i want amd to run well too. i'll be testing on an amd card soon
sorry about that, i'm looking into it. could you open an issue on github with your log (it's in your anka folder: user\log\eden_log.txt, grab it right after the crash), your gpu model + nvidia driver version, and a screenshot of the exact spot where it crashes? https://t.co/nDEuJdhCtz. if you don't use github, just send the same things to me in dms
thank you all, seriously. anka got way more attention than i expected: tons of replies, dms, stars and bug reports. i'm building this project on my own, and i'm trying to read all of it.
what's coming in 1.1.0:
- zelda: ocarina of time remake support, one program for both donkey kong bananza and zelda
- per-game default settings, each game keeps its own setup
- bananza: i'm still working on more fps gains
- a warning when another 60 fps patch is installed (that's what makes the game run 2x fast)
- small image in handheld mode: the fix is in testing
also looking into: missing grass, the lake mask crash and crashes on amd. i have a linux pc with an rx 580 here, i'll be testing on it and working to get anka running there too
a small spoiler: i'm also working on running zelda: ocarina of time remake natively on android. very early, but it already gets to the menu
the screenshot is zelda: ocarina of time remake running on anka, ryzen 7 5700x + rtx 4060 ti
if you want to keep up with what's next, a follow would mean a lot ๐ a star on github helps a lot too, and so do bug reports with a log: https://t.co/16l3Wb51bf
@YousifElbushraa thanks, glad it's that smooth on a 3050 laptop! i can't promise anything for mario kart world yet, but i've noted it down to look at later. a star on github would mean a lot: https://t.co/OuAc3da3fj
@nicomacwilliam@sabuga_jb thanks a lot, really good to hear it runs well on a gtx 1650 super too! a star on github would mean a lot: https://t.co/OuAc3daB4R
@jayruus__ thanks! anka is portable, so the log is right in your anka folder: user\log\eden_log.txt. grab it right after a crash, before starting anka again. your driver version is in the nvidia app or nvidia control panel > system information
i tested it with a save from github issue #3 on an rtx 4060 ti and it didn't crash for me, so it may depend on your setup. could you send a screenshot of the exact moment it crashes, your user\log\eden_log.txt from that run, and your gpu model + nvidia driver version? add them to https://t.co/tDKPomB0aD or send them in dms. everyone who reported it so far is on driver 617 or newer, so that detail really helps

@nicomacwilliam@sabuga_jb mid-range is the main target, that's what i test on (ryzen 7 5700x + rtx 4060 ti). lower-end pcs can work too, but i can't promise full speed there yet
yeah, i've had this mask crash from quite a few people now and i'm looking into it. i have a fix candidate and i'm testing it with a save from github issue #3. if you can, please add your log and save file there: https://t.co/tDKPomAsl5. no github account? just send them to me in dms, it really helps
@Black_Mamba_83@sabuga_jb grab the Anka-1.0.1-win64 zip, that's the program. the other zips are source code and debug files, you don't need them. unzip it into a new empty folder and run anka.exe
zelda: ocarina of time remake as a native android port. it only gets to the menu so far, i'm working on ram optimizations now. poco f8 pro, 12 gb ram, snapdragon 8 elite. i'll post here when there's progress
anka 1.0.1 is out: .nup support is here
open .nup files from File > Load File or drop them in the Games folder. base game and update load, dlc inside a .nup not yet. only use your own dumps
