The so-called California“Billionaire Tax” gives politicians power to expand the tax to your home equity, savings and even retirement accounts. It’s not a billionaire tax. It’s an everyone tax.
California Democrats have cooked up a new “Property Transfer Tax” that would charge homeowners 5-6% on every home sale — based on the sale price, not your equity.
That means if your home is worth $700,000 to $1 million — which is common in California — you could get hit with a tax bill of $42,000 to $60,000 just for selling your home!
That’s right: after years of paying your mortgage, property taxes, insurance, and upkeep, Sacramento politicians want to grab tens of thousands more when you sell.
CA utility companies can bill you incorrectly for years — then penalize you for their mistakes by hitting you with a massive surprise bill all at once! I just introduced a bill to BAN this predatory “back-billing” scam.
In California, 200 people cover 47% of all tax revenue.
Of $265B collected, $122B comes from that group alone.
They control $2T in assets—and if they leave, nearly half the state’s revenue walks out with them.
Either California has a massive and previously unreported Zombie problem or Governor Newsom spent millions of your dollars to provide phone and Internet service to dead people.
Not good! The FCC is ending this California fraud.
“While ERISA’s enforcement procedures were designed to safeguard workers from genuine abuses by plan fiduciaries and its service providers, a surge of litigation, especially excessive-fee and underperformance lawsuits, has reached a point of diverting resources away from workers’ retirement—often without any meaningful showing of wrongdoing.”
Trial lawyers enrich themselves with excessive and frivolous litigation that hurts Americans' retirement plans. @MarioHLopez in @rc_markets: https://t.co/6Y9zwklA2e

Gavin Newsom is incredibly concerned that Donald Trump is going to screw Americans at the pump.
Meanwhile, Californians pay nearly the highest gas prices in the country because of Gavin Newsom.
Part of me wants to say “the balls on this guy”, but I’ve seen him cross his legs.
As California Governor Gavin Newsom gears up to run for president, what in the world will he run on?
Californians know that Newsom will not boast, “I will do for America what I have done to California!”
Why not?
