I just realized something regarding the #fantasy#novel I'm currently translating: 35 chapters in - and no #romance! I don't think I've ever encountered a book in this genre without some sort of romantic element. Observation of the day. 😁 Ten more chapters to go! #translation

I actually relate more to the #antagonists than to the #protagonists in a novel - whether I'm reading or translating. I just find their deviousness really enticing. What about you? :) #translation#books#badguys
I think one of my favourite parts of #literary#translation is creating accents or drunken slurs. It's important to give the speech a little 'kick,' but also important not to go overboard. #language is important. :)
