I saw a Huawei IdeaHub in the @MoICT_Ug boardroom.
I was told @NITAUganda1 donated it.
@NITAUgandaED was sitting across from me.
I asked him if he had any left.
He made a call to check.
It was delivered the next day.
Martyrs’ day.
A public holiday.
NITA has been very supportive of our work.
Truly grateful for the agencies that have seen the need to support the government’s communication hub.
Cometh the hour, cometh the men !
Congratulations @ObothOboth and @Thomas_Tayebwa.
May God guide you with wisdom, courage and justice, as you serve our great nation at this juncture of our history. You have been chosen for such a time as this.
The National Information Technology Authority-Uganda with great pleasure congratulates His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni upon his swearing in. 🇺🇬

It's nearly a week since we witnessed the official commissioning of the National IP Peering Exchange (NIPX). 🎉
Launched by @NITAUganda1 under the Uganda Digital Acceleration Project (UDAP-GovNet), in partnership with @MoICT_Ug the NIPX is our nation’s first neutral and open Internet Exchange Point.
We are excited to bring you the highlights of the launch event held at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

The National IP Peering Exchange (NIPX) operates under a model of neutral ownership, ensuring it remains independent of government or participant control.
This neutrality fosters a fair, competitive, and secure digital ecosystem for everybody involved.
To understand how this infrastructure will transform Uganda’s connectivity, join us at the NIPX Awareness and Engagement Workshop.

Today, @NITAUganda1 joined fellow ICT leaders at the uganda media centre to officially launch the CIO-CxO Digital Leadership Conclave 2026.
The Conclave is a strategic assembly of Uganda’s top digital minds, think CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and technology executives coming together to:
✅ Accelerate national digital transformation.
✅ Drive large-scale job creation for our youth.
✅ Unlock technology-led economic growth under NDP IV.
At NITA-U, we’ve built the digital foundations. Now, through coordinated leadership across the public and private sectors, we are ready to drive the shift toward a high-income, tech-driven economy.
Stay tuned as we gear up for the main event on 24th April 2026 at the National ICT Hub!

NITA-U officially broke ground on the first Service Uganda Centre in Gulu in close collaboration with the @MopsUg@MoWT_Uganda@MoICT_Ug and @PostaUganda.
As we scale our digital infrastructure under the UDAP-GovNet project, we know that technology is only as powerful as its accessibility. These Centres launching in Gulu, as well as Mbarara, and Tororo are the physical face of our digital transformation.
By integrating UGHub into a one-stop physical hub at Posta Uganda facilities where the Service Uganda Centres will be established, we are making it possible for Ugandans to walk into a single office and access various public services:
✅Passport & Immigration services
✅Tax & TIN registration
✅Business & Company registration
✅Driving permits and more!
As our Executive Director, Dr. Hatwib Mugasa (@NITAUgandaED), noted during the ceremony, we are removing the barriers of distance and digital literacy.
At @NITAUganda1 we aren't just building a network but a government that is closer to the people and we are proud to be a part of the revolution.

We’re mobilizing resources for the Uganda Media Centre.
Big thanks to PS @azawedde and the @MoICT_Ug crew; ST @rggoobi, Budget Director Hannington Ashaba, Brenda Nantumbwe, and the @mofpedU team—they totally get why funding can’t wait.
..plus @NITAUgandaED for jumping in with those essential computers.
We’re all about teaming up with the private sector.
We’ll champion creatives, spotlight opportunities for the youth, and stand up for Uganda without holding back.
I will prioritise meeting potential partners.
Time to band together so Uganda gets the respect it deserves.

The future of our nation will be determined by how we choose to serve it today.
Over the next few weeks, I will move around our nation to understand the needs of our entrepreneurs, and ask for their support to serve them as General Secretary of the NRM Entrepreneurs' League.
LIVE: I want to clear up the idea that coffee is just a cash crop. To me, coffee is a beverage. We should stop calling it only a cash crop. @TugumeNelsonO, CEO @_InspireAfrica, at the Africa Business Forum in Ntungamo.

Day One in our booth at the @LdnCoffeeFest & we got importers & roasters that came by to talk about sourcing from Uganda. Our partners @UKinUganda & @ITCnews got us to think about a new & novel way to trade coffee:CONSOLIDATION. They challenged us to look beyond the volumes aggregation game & instead consolidate our modest amounts into one export, share delivery costs & meet the foreign markets consumer where they are with their quality. This will take us into the high value specialty segment & the mid level roaster buyers willing to pay a bit more. This is the new approach to cooperation in this business. Our partners then put together a Ugandan evening where we met key importers who sampled the cupping of our coffee. It was a day well spent.
PS: do me a favor & spread this word. We are getting noticed & it is working. It is all we ask🙏
