@Woman4W I’ve seen this work informally in college towns. When I was in grad school a friend invited me to share a cheap duplex apartment. The catch was in exchange for reduced rent from the elderly landlady downstairs we’d take out the trash and shovel snow. It worked for everyone.
@b6bycakes @SilentHomeRide @JaquanTheLibra For people recovering from severe back problems, the reformer is critical. It allows you to strengthen muscles in your hips and core without putting strain on your back.
@dieworkwear I lived in a studio like this in the heart of Madrid and loved it. Millions of people live like this in walkable cities around the world, and it works because those cities have lots of “third places” for socializing. We should have more of these units in NYC CHI PHL BOS DC & SF
@CushingAgnes@Blake_Allen13 If saving your pension fund isn’t enough then your vote was never there to begin with. The Teamaters leadership should have been selling this to their members instead of frolicking around at the RNC. This is a total slap in the face to Dems and yet another own goal for labor.
@notcapnamerica The Teamsters supported Reagan in 1989 and again in 1984 even after he broke the air traffic controller strike. So not unprecedented, but a slap in the face after the pension bailout.
This year, 195 Pomona College students have received a total of just over $1 million in grant funding through the Summer Undergraduate Research Program. It provides an opportunity to get hands-on, practical experience while still in college.

@notcapnamerica@politico Of course they will, and it isn’t an accident that three of the current SCOTUS justices worked on the Bush legal team in the contested 2000 election…
Regarding the legal issues with changing the nominee: it is worth noting that three current SCOTUS justices - Roberts, Kavanaugh, and ACB - were on Bush’s legal team after the 2000 election…
AOC just spent an hour weighing in on efforts to replace Biden as the nominee. It’s an important listen.
She thinks an open convention is lunacy & that multiple red alerts on the dashboard aren’t getting enough consideration.
Here are her 7 main points, as I understood them: 🧵
@notcapnamerica Remember back to 2023 when everyone thought DeSantis would be the GOP nominee? Or 2015 when Jeb! was the front runner? Hell, Hillary Clinton was the DNC’s favorite in 2007. Sooooo many promising presidential candidates flame out under the glare of the campaign.
@mabintou In addition to the problems with their shoes, they totally missed the boat on athletileisure apparel for women. A bunch of women with $$$ to spend moved over to Lululemon or Athleta and haven’t looked back. And the Athleta dupes at Target are better (and cheaper) as well.
