Let me talk about woke Luos.

Who are woke Luos?

Woke Luos are the most educated individuals you will ever find in this country. They speak good Queen’s English.

Most often they are doctors, engineers, lawyers and those other top professions in the country.

They drive Mercedes-Benz, BMW and those other top cars.

Most often they have married Kikuyu women, and because of this they often feel they’re nationalists, oftentimes defending us Kikuyus more than we defend ourselves.

They live in those posh neighborhoods in the city or in Kiambu suburbs next to their Kikuyu in-laws.

They rarely go to shags because they have nothing there, just a mud house that’s about to collapse. I’m sure you have already seen those photos on the internet of posh cars in front of mud houses during festival season.

The woke Luo don’t like to be associated with other Luos. They often defend other people who are against Luos, and that’s why I call them house negroes.

They have married from Murima, but the children have names from the in-laws, showing how those yellow yellow women from Murima have dominated them.

On social media they will be praised for how open-minded they are, not like other Luos, until they do something that rides the egos of the in-laws. That’s when they’re reminded they’re Luos and they’re not circumcised.

Take a lesson from that favorite bald-headed journalist who used to please the in-laws but now he has been cancelled.

Luos, be Luos. Don’t be woke Luos, sweeping your community under the bus to please in-laws. When the time is right you will be reminded you’re not one of us.

I have to admit, I always wondered what this part of Psalm 23 meant. I thought “He anoints my head with oil” was figurative language for God keeping the Psalmist healthy. I never knew this parallel.

Anoint my head with oil

“Sheep can get their head caught in briers and die trying to get untangled. There are horrid little flies that like to torment sheep by laying eggs in their nostrils which turn into worms and drive the sheep to beat their head against a rock, sometimes to death. Their ears and eyes are also susceptible to tormenting insects. So the shepherd anoints their whole head with oil. Then there is peace. That oil forms a barrier of protection against the evil that tries to destroy the sheep. Do you have times of mental torment? Do the worrisome thoughts invade your mind over and over? Do you beat your head against a wall trying to stop them? Have you ever asked God to anoint your head with oil? He has an endless supply! His oil protects and makes it possible for you to fix your heart, mind, and eyes on Him today and always! There is peace in the valley! May our good good Father anoint your head with oil today so that your cup overflows with blessings! God is good and He is faithful!!”
