@NHS_HealthEdEng I remember being in one of your buildings in the West Midlands and watching trainees come out of their ARCP in tears. Professional adults humiliated by jumped up power trippers on the ARCP panel. And that was all part of training. Pathetic. Hope you are proud.

@orthochimp What the hell does extra contractual work have to do with the training programme or TPDs? Lots of docs who locum aren’t in training programmes. Clearly it’s a meaningless thick threat that I would call their bluff on.

And the easy answer is: the government can fix this in a moment by making the NHS pension scheme tax unregistered.

They did it for judges.

It is a choice they are making which is making waiting lists longer.

I'm a doctor. Current NHS pension taxation rules are unfairly hitting senior doctors hard with many forced to retire early/reduce hours. This crisis cant go on.
