On this day in 2000, the Camp David peace talks ended.

Yasser Arafat was offered a Palestinian state on a silver platter. As Bill Clinton later lamented: "I killed myself to give the Palestinians a state."

Arafat rejected it. Instead, he launched the 2nd Intifada, unleashing years of suicide bombings and terror.

Twenty-six years later, and after the horrors of Oct. 7, nothing has changed and the central obstacle to peace remains a Palestinian leadership that continues to choose violence and rejection, over peace and hope.

BREAKING: Trump's own former White House lawyer just issued a FIVE-ALARM WARNING about Todd Blanche.

Ty Cobb — a career federal prosecutor who spent decades in the Justice Department before serving as Special White House Counsel under Trump's first administration, managing the White House's response to the Mueller investigation — just publicly declared that Todd Blanche is unfit to serve as Attorney General of the United States.

This isn't coming from a Democrat. This is coming from a lifelong prosecutor who worked directly for Donald Trump.

"If Todd Blanche is confirmed as Attorney General, there will be no ethical lines between the White House and the Attorney General," Cobb says in a new video released by Justice Connection. "There are no lines now."

Cobb draws a direct comparison between himself and Blanche: both were prosecutors, both were private defense attorneys, both served in a Trump administration. But that's where the similarity ends. "People that I know who have served in the administrations of the last 50 years of my professional career have all been people who devoted themselves to the country — not to an individual," Cobb says.

Blanche, by contrast, has spent his time as Deputy and Acting Attorney General doing exactly the opposite.

He's signed off on politically vindictive prosecutions targeting Trump's perceived enemies. He's bragged about firing career prosecutors and FBI agents simply for having been assigned to Jack Smith's investigations into Trump. And he personally secured a settlement wiping away Trump and his family's outstanding tax liabilities — the same Trump who was previously his personal criminal defense client.

This is the man Trump wants running the Justice Department. Not someone who serves the country. Someone who serves Donald Trump personally, with the DOJ as his enforcement arm.

Cobb's warning should terrify anyone who still believes in an independent Justice Department: "Todd Blanche is unfit to be Attorney General of the United States."
When even a Republican who helped defend Trump during Russiagate is sounding the alarm, it's not partisan noise. It's a five-alarm warning about what's left of the rule of law in this country.

"May 1948. Haifa.
Golda Meir sat in a car leaving the city in darkness, wrapped in the wide dark robes of a Muslim woman. She did not speak Arabic. Her companion, Ezra Danin, a Haganah intelligence expert who did, was dressed as an Arab man. Together they posed as a married couple, moving through checkpoints into Transjordan, heading toward a secret meeting in Amman with King Abdullah I.

The windows of a second car had been covered with heavy black fabric so she could not be identified. The king had refused to come to the border. He had refused to alert his Arab Legion that Jewish guests were coming. If anything went wrong, she was on her own. C*pture meant interrogation. The implications beyond that were clear.
She went anyway.

This was not their first meeting. In November 1947, she had traveled to Naharayim on the banks of the Jordan River for a clandestine meeting with Abdullah, no disguise required that time. At that meeting, Abdullah had given his word. If the United Nations voted to partition Palestine, he would not att*ck the Jewish state. He promised.

Six months later, word reached the Jewish leadership that Abdullah had joined the Arab League and was preparing to march.

On May 11, 1948, four days before Israel would declare independence, Golda Meir traveled to Amman in secret to ask him directly. Would he keep his promise?
She found a different man from the one she had met in November. Pale, tense, and depressed. He explained that he had spoken to her as a man alone. Now he was """"one of five,"""" bound to Syria, Egypt, Lebanon, and Iraq in a coalition he could no longer break from.

He asked her to accept a proposal: Palestine would not become a Jewish state. Jews would receive autonomy within a unified Jordan and after a year the whole territory would be merged under his rule with Jewish representation in his parliament.
She refused immediately.

He asked why the Jews were in such haste to declare a state. She told him they had been waiting two thousand years. He told her the Arabs could not wait longer. She told him that if he turned his back on his promise, w*r was inevitable because the Jews would resist.

The meeting ended. The w*r came anyway, five days later, on the morning after Israel declared independence on May 14, 1948.

But Golda Meir had already been shaping that moment for months.

In January 1948, with the pre-state leadership desperately short of funds and w*r visibly approaching, she had been sent to the United States to raise money. The treasurer of the Jewish Agency believed they might collect seven or eight million dollars if they were fortunate. Meir aimed for twenty-five million.

She spoke at the General Assembly of Jewish Federations in Chicago, a speech she later described as unscheduled, unrehearsed, and unannounced, and the response was unlike anything the room had experienced. She raised twice the requested amount in that tour alone, ultimately bringing back more than thirty million dollars.

After independence was declared she returned to the United States on a second fundraising mission and raised approximately fifty million dollars more. In total, her two tours brought in around ninety million dollars, roughly a third of the entire cost of Israel's W*r of Independence.
David Ben-Gurion, who would become Israel's first Prime Minister, wrote in his diary: """"Someday when history will be written, it will be said that there was a Jewish woman who got the money which made the state possible."

On May 14, 1948, Golda Meir stood in a room in Tel Aviv and signed her name to Israel's Declaration of Independence. She was one of two women among the signatories. She later recalled: """"When I studied American history as a schoolgirl and I read about those who signed the Declaration of Independence, I couldn't imagine these were real people doing something real. And there I was sitting down and signing a declaration of establishment. She wept.

The decades that followed built one of the most consequential political careers of the twentieth century. She served as Israel's first Ambassador to the Soviet Union, as Minister of Labor overseeing the construction of 200,000 apartments, and then as Foreign Minister for a decade. In 1969, at age seventy, she became Prime Minister.

She was also, by then, secretly fghting cncer, diagnosed in the mid-1960s with a lymphatic condition she kept entirely hidden. She governed Israel and managed international crises while battling a terminal illness she had decided no one needed to know about. The country's needs, she had concluded, were larger than her own.

The wr she had spent her life trying to prevent came anyway in a different form on a different day. On October 6, 1973, Egypt and Syria launched a coordinated surprise attck on Israel on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. The intelligence failure was catastrophic. In the first hours, Meir made decisions her military commanders later credited with preventing total disaster: authorizing the mobilization of reserves against cautious advice and refusing to collapse under the weight of what was happening.

Israel survved. But the political aftermath was merciless. In April 1974, Golda Meir resigned, not because she was found personally responsible, but because she understood that democratic leadership sometimes requires absorbing institutional failure regardless of individual blme.

She ded on December 8, 1978, in Jerusalem, at the age of eighty, survved by her children, grandchildren, and a nation she had helped bring into existence, fund into survval, and govern through its most dngerous years.

She had carried her illness in secret for more than a decade. She had crossed into enemy territory disguised as another person to try to stop a w*r with words. She had raised the money that by any honest accounting made the state possible.

When asked what she thought of being called a great woman, she reportedly said she had worked to be a great leader. The adjective, she suggested, was beside the point.

She was right about the point.
She was both things anyway."

Presided over the largest single day point drop in Dow Jones history at the time. So much for the guy who claimed to be a genius with money.
Set the record for the longest government shutdown in US history in his first term at 35 days, then couldn’t resist beating his own miserable record in his second term with a 43 day shutdown, followed by yet another shutdown just months later. Encore nobody asked for.
Added roughly 2.25 trillion dollars to the national debt in his first year back in office alone, pushing the debt past 39 trillion dollars.
Somebody remind me who the party of fiscal discipline is again.
Pushed through the largest defense budget increase since World War Two while the debt kept climbing anyway.
Purged more than 300,000 federal employees in his first year back.
Efficient, if your goal is chaos.
Pardoned nearly 1,600 January 6 Capitol rioters on his very first day back in office, including Oath Keepers and Proud Boys leaders convicted of seditious conspiracy.
Law and order, except when it’s inconvenient.
At least 40 of those pardoned rioters have already been rearrested, charged, or sentenced for new crimes since walking free. Shocking absolutely nobody.
His family’s crypto ventures, including a meme coin and World Liberty Financial, pulled in more than 1.4 billion dollars in disclosed earnings while he sat in the Oval Office.
Draining the swamp was apparently code for filling his own pockets.
Sent the National Guard into American cities at a cost of nearly 500 million taxpayer dollars in 2025 alone.

A Hezbollah suicide bomber stepped onto a bus full of Israeli tourists at Burgas Airport in Bulgaria.

42 Israelis, mostly young people, were heading to their hotels after a summer vacation.

The bomb tore through the bus, murdering six people: five Israelis and the Bulgarian driver. Another 36 Israelis were wounded, many seriously.

This is Hezbollah. This is the Iranian-funded, trained, and armed terror proxy that has deliberately targeted Israeli, Jewish, and American civilians for decades.

The victims were ordinary families and young people celebrating life. Exactly the kind of targets these terrorists seek out.

“Stories involving needles keep coming up"

Jewish patients in Australian hospitals keep experiencing the same thing: once the medical professional treating them realizes they are Jewish, they reportedly struggle to insert IVs.

“It is an easy way to make someone suffer, and there is always an explanation: ‘I couldn’t find the vein,'" said Nurit Haddad, a mental-health nurse in New South Wales, who said she had heard multiple similar stories.

That is not the only example of antisemitism in Australian hospitals.

After the Bondi Beach attack, one doctor allegedly described those who attended a memorial as “Zionists supporting genocide.”

In Sydney, a Jewish women who gave birth via caesarean section was allegedly left for hours without pain relief. She was reportedly lying in her own blood, while her newborn cried beside her.

In Melbourne, a woman was reportedly mocked for seeking mental health support after her family members in Israel were killed in Hamas's October 7th attack on Israel. “This is not a competition of tragedies,” she said. “We are all suffering, and I simply needed help dealing with my grief.”

“Patients are extremely vulnerable in hospital,” one midwife said. “Doctors, nurses and midwives hold enormous power over them.”

These are only some of the stories that have recently come to light.
Medical antisemitism must be stopped.
