Political patronage Vs Competent service delivery
How do we compete with neighbours, with this kind of disparity in appointments of ministers.
Uganda appointing uneducated ministers may face challenges such as ineffective policy-making, slower economic development, and weaker international relations. Conversely, a neighbouring country with highly educated ministers from world-class universities are likely to experience more efficient governance, innovative economic policies, and stronger global influence. This disparity could lead to reduced public trust and slower technological advancement in the former, while the latter benefits from evidence-based policies, better international standing, and higher public confidence.
