Every fraction of a degree matters.
Every day matters.
Limiting global temperature rise is still possible, but only through concrete, urgent #ClimateAction.
Brexit is now, in a majority of voters minds, linked with high interest rates, trade friction, travel friction and general incompetence. The reality may be more complex, but that doesn’t matter - it’s about perception, and the perception is that Brexit is not only a failure but a liability. And there is more pain to come. This is why in my view, coupled with demographic change, it is inevitable that we will soon begin the process of rejoining the single market and customs union no matter what Labour or the Conservatives say at the next election. This irresistible pressure will probably split the Conservative Party, which is ironic because Cameron’s only strategic aim in calling the referendum in the first place was to placate fringe elements of the Party. High carbon emitting and fossil fuel based companies need to be investing in low carbon and renewable energy as much as possible. We need more transparency from companies getting subsidies and tax breaks.
3 Reasons @RishiSunak must #StopRosebank:
🌎As much emissions as 28 countries in the global south
❌Won't lower bills one bit
🛑Delays a just transition to renewable energy

What if we can show the ridiculous amount of space and disciplining required for car traffic in our cities?

Remember this picture every single time you hear someone in your city say "we're not Amsterdam." This was #Amsterdam in the 1970's via @fietsprofessor. The cities we admire made better choices regarding cars, and are still making them today. Better choices instead of excuses.
If you delete the word ‘Partygate’ from this tweet and insert ‘January 6 inquiry’ instead, this could have been written by any Trump ultra, who refuses to see anything wrong with the attempted insurrection, just the attempt to investigate it.
This is scandalous. Rishi Sunak is openly boasting that he fixed the rules to funnel taxpayers’ money to rich Tory shires 👇
This is our money. It should be spent fairly and where it’s most needed - not used as a bribe to Tory members.
Talk about showing your true colours…
BREAKING: Government’s net zero strategy has been ruled inadequate and unlawful by the High Court.
The illegality of its landmark climate change strategy is a huge political embarrassment to Ministers. 🧵

Business and tax fraud is around £20 billion per year on average. Benefit fraud is estimated at around £1.5 to £2billion. Business is ten times more fraudulent than welfare. By all means tackle both, but get your priorities straight.
New Education Minister, gives a middle finger salute to members of the public outside Downing Street. If there is one image that captures everything that is wrong with this Government- it’s this.
