Wednesday: poorly executed active shooter drill.
Thursday: our teachers have been so mistreated that they walk out.
Friday: shooting just outside of school causing an hour+ long lockdown.
This weekend: a classmate was murdered.
Today: of course the hallways are flooded.
These same educators and public servants are being disrespected, undervalued, and underpaid.
What is owed to the teacher who stands at the door between a potential threat and your child?
At the very least...a fair contract after 3 years that @WTUTeacher has been requesting
Lockdowns are a terrible reality of school life. Sad and sorry to hear that @JacksonReedHSDC went through one today. Be safe everyone. Thank the many teachers, staff, and 1st responders who put on their best face and likely ran through scenarios of how to defend our kids.
