#AI was cited in the announcement of over 50,000 layoffs last year -- but in calling it :AI Washing," the NY Times says many of the companies letting people go are being disingenuous wth their justification. Rare still is an AI application that can totally replace human workers.
Orgs are just saying this to avoid scrutiny over the real reason they're firing staff.
