@syncretizm@codexeditor@tana_inc Something I find very useful is that if I understand correctly, you can combine multiple templates and then delete a field from an instance without affecting the template/supertags. It keeps everything relevant - a challenge in other database systems.
@Mappletons@tana_inc Two really interesting theses that I think not many people are aware of:
- Personal Knowledge Models with Semantic Technologies, by Max Völkel
- User interfaces for Personal Knowledge Management with Semantic Technologies by @heikohaller
@Mappletons I had seen philosophers curious about object oriented programming, but I didn't know applied ontologists were into Harman's work. I'm a big fan. Here's an interesting short blog post about the terminology of "object-oriented" in philosophy and computing: https://t.co/RvwZHGlb7w
@beh_zod@andy_matuschak Maybe the things that you can compress cognitively have already been through a previous stage of embodiment?
In other words, maybe the more something has already been embodied, the more it can be compressed?
Jorn Bettin is a great inspiration for bringing neurodiversity into the cosmopolitics project. Recently featured in the Design Justice Network:

Our aim with Slow Computing was to detail practical & political individual and collective interventions for living more balanced digital lives, framed within an ethics of digital care grounded in notions of time & data sovereignty https://t.co/Q7NkC2L42V
The principle of charity, introduced to me by @flancian, could be applied to writing as well as reading.
"The likelihood of a meeting of minds through language depends on the willingness of both the reader and writer to work together" (Adler and Doren in "How to read a book")
and, as a little experiment, I did one with just spikes - no land. I think this makes it easier to see some places - e.g. check out New Zealand or Hawaii, or even Reykjavík if you look closely.
5/ Nested Learning Groups
Imagine a longer research project with a core group of participants from which spawns shorter-term subgroups researching specific directions or tasks associated the larger overall research.
@RobertHaisfield If you convert the outline to an OPML format you can then drag and drop to most mindmap tools.
I like @simplemindapp because it lets you switch between mindmap and outline mode.
To convert text outlines into OPML: https://t.co/huy6AzvkOV
Also, @rem_note exports to OPML
@worldbrain I'd vote for Devonthink. I'd like to be able to search and store a copy of the Memex index within Devonthink. An open source alternative with the same workflow would be Zotero.
