Watching the #InterMiamiCF with #Messi has been a very welcomed unexpected joy.
The more I know about Messi, the more I like him as a person and player; the more I care about Football, his teams.
Then, Miami has been the strongest and fastest improvement I've seen in any sport!

Tonight's performance by Kamal Miller reminded me of the great Carles Puyol, "el Tiburón".
Saved the game, repeatedly.
All others, except Callender, had a bad/mediocre game.
Still, the Messi effect: @KMillz_00 went from, frankly, being very bad to this in 10 games.
@forevermartin5@CrewsMat10 There is a difference:
The fame of Lionel Messi is earned.
Precisely, on top of all of that merit, accomplishment, fame, here we have a person who manifestly values more making his son laugh than the rest.
Winner in life first, then sport.
Messi is a beautiful, inspiring person.
@forevermartin5@CrewsMat10 Here's what is special: This person who is globally adulated, even venerated, really has his priorities in order.
It is profoundly inspiring to me to see him enjoying the simple things in life.
And this is so human...
#Messimania
The most astonishing thing for me about #InterMiamiCF and #Messi is how quickly OG players got the hang of how to coordinate with Messi-Busquets-Alba.
Normally it takes years. #Cremaschi has had a month.
Tonight he perfectly both read the situation, got in position.
@the_berneese_ It's actually harder than that!
How to explain that he created /an-indefensible-goal-chance/ in this position, because after the pass to Cremaschi, the defenders had to turn to the threat and thus get further out of position than the previous one-touch ball left them!
@raphifcb_@AlbicelesteTalk Man, if this is scripted, then this long ball from Busquets for Alba to acrobatically one-touch to Messi would have been harder to do live than the real thing, then they will also have to say that the video was AI-generated.
@wowAwesomeness @AdigunGbolahan1 @AlbicelesteTalk Indeed!
Normally it takes years to get to this level of mutual understanding and effective coordination!
We've seen his goal, the assist to J. Martínez after reading correctly how the defenders got distracted by Messi, and tonight's positional awareness to ask the ball

The team without Messi and Busquets is playing at a much higher level too, they are literally able to win on their own against a mid-tier team.
BTW, the defense had a "clean sheet" too...
I've never seen so much progress so quickly.

Pink-Barça, a 🧵
The Inter Miami is playing spectacularly.
#Busquets->#Alba->#Messi->#Cremaschi->Messi->net
* Master of plays Busquets sends long ball
* Alba acrobatically one-touches
* Messi finds unfathomable play
* 18y/o Cremaschi returns perfectly

What is really astonishing to me is that this Guardiola's Barça's collective tiki-taka is showing up in just one month of Messi-Busquets-Alba-Martino!
Finally...
@michaelangeloit@MLS This play is indefensible, the broadcast analyst is wrong calling the defenders ball watchers:
No defense would be able to stop this sequence of one-touch plays, this destroys any order.
Nor the touches and pass by Messi, that forced a turn to the threat, getting out of position
Hear, hear
I was able to bear the political nature of #F1, the Ferrari favoritism pervasive, the tolerance to maniacs who should have been banned like Schumacher, but stayed because there was a competition, last year’s last races were increasingly grotesque in favoritism
I don't think I've ever been less enthused about the imminent start of an #F1 season.
Even with all the "new era" curiosity and speculation, I'm mostly just feeling empty.
@F1 losing its fundamental sporting essence last season, has really left its mark.
