EdTech adviser sharing tips on Education Technology tocollaboratively engage students in HE. Also a big advocate for #BSL. I'm here to inspire or be inspired!
So many great discussions in the ‘Ask the Students’ panel! It was really enlightening to pick their brains about library services, research methods, etc. And I was pretty exciting to hear one admit to enjoying referencing by hand b/c SAME! #TechfromSAGE
@woodjamie99 says: Librarians should not beat themselves up about students not asking for help, as they often don't ask help from anyone. Academics have to be better at demonstrating it is ok to ask for help. #TechfromSAGE
Agreed this was a fantastic session and great to hear all the community initiatives @LancasterUniLib have done congratulations on your advocate award Andrew #TechfromSAGE#edtech

Take a look at this conversation about Social Annotation. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Lack of Engagement one of the biggest issues in HE? #TalisElevate can help.
Discovered another interesting conversation about the value of #socialannotation including students reading more deeply and considering the text, retaining information better

@LouisePouw@Dr_JamesWood@wentale@RichardM_Walker Sorry, just catching up on this. Groups is on the Talis Product Roadmap, but we do have a workaround. Feel free to reach out and we can go through some examples of our academic community using Talis Elevate.
One impressive way I learnt academics we're using Talis Elevate was to ask students to mark past papers / assignments. This type of collaboration has been a popular to get peer to peer feedback and seen an increase in engagement. A brilliant way for teachers to capture thoughts.
@RichardM_Walker@uoy_tel @remikalir That's great. I'll get that over to you. Off the top of my head I know asking students to mark past papers / assignments is always quite active.
@JaneHarperTutor @ChrisHeadleand Thanks. At the ALT conference last week there were 3 medical students at Imperial that presented about how this type of working relationship is ideal. Dr Sohag Saleh leads the project.
