merlin fandom really was like an eye opener to young me about just how cruel people are willing to be to a woman of color for "interfering" with a non-canon white gay ship. it's also been crazy seeing some of that behavior *fully* repeat itself to a degree with others, ie arcane.
It is very unfortunate that we even have to try to seek out evidence to prove to people how badly Angel was treated. At the same time though, I know it can be a wake up call for some who are in denial. 2/2
Anon has asked if there are any lists/threads of evidence what Angel went through (in terms of racism) to share to people who refuse to accept there were problems in the past. As far as I'm aware there are not but if anyone knows/has any evidence that would be very helpful! 1/2

Alexander Siddig is a British-Sudanese actor who played Kanen in an episode in Merlin season one.
Siddig has starred in a variety of different films and TV shows, including Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Kingdom of Heaven, Game of Thrones, and Peaky Blinders.
Adrian Lester is a British-Jamaican actor who played Myror in an episode in Merlin season two.
Lester has starred in Mary Queen of Scots, The Day After Tomorrow, and recently Renegade Nell.
He has had a wide range of roles in theatre, including his debut on Broadway in 2021.
