Our Pete the cat books. It’s about parents not finding out about the reality of AB’s classrooms.
I stand hand in hand w/ the teachers. This EA will never; not a single day, cross the picket line while teachers FIGHT for the classrooms I myself (as well as my own child) am in.
I work in an elementary school.
Classrooms with 36, less EAs than ever, cuts to teaching staff, and LACK OF FUNDING are the actual problem in Alberta’s classrooms.
It’s not books. It’s not students with additional needs.
Banning books that don’t exist in my library will
If you don’t see Nicolaides fearmongering about books in schools as an attempt to demonize teachers and the educations system heading into a strike…
You’re missing the big picture.

Not help child A who is hungry, child B who has a different learning ability, the 4-5 students who cannot read a single word, child C who doesn’t speak English, or child D who doesn’t speak up and falls into the cracks because he/she doesn’t understand.

Ironic, my admin was told just yesterday to expect that Jordan’s Principle funding will never come back.
I live in an area with a higher population of indigenous people.
This is not reconciliation. It’s a violation of children’s rights and the rights of indigenous people.
@BernicelTaylor Boards that the funding will no longer be available. There is no funding for the 2025/2026 school year. That’s not due diligence. It’s a violation of children’s rights to an education and our commitments to indigenous children and families.
@BernicelTaylor Deadline is October.
We applied in May.
While this is the narrative some are pushing, the reality is the federal government underestimated how much supports are needed and how much it would COST to support these students. They’ve also come forward this week telling school
Could we even build the Canadian Pacific Railway today?
Conservatives will honour the legacy of Sir John A. Macdonald & unite our country with a Canada First National Energy Corridor.

I’m not a journalist. I’m an Alberta dad, husband, and trades worker. Over the past few days, I’ve been reading everything I can about the CSIS findings regarding Pierre Poilievre’s compromised position and lack of security clearance. Here’s what I’ve found.

The fact that conservatives out there think we need foreign entities to help win an election is ridiculous and illegal.
Pierre Poilievre would know this, but the dude can’t even pass a security clearance.
FYI, this educator and every educator I know could.
Wherein Alberta premier Danielle Smith says that she attempted to influence the US administration to hold off on tariffs to give Pierre Poilievre the best chance at winning the upcoming election...
Because he'll align Canada with Trump the most.

I made a promise in 2015:
To honour Canada’s relationship with Indigenous Peoples and work alongside them — as partners and equals.
And it will always be the job of every Prime Minister who follows to uphold that promise.
@MikeCarver061@TomiLahren .. maternity leave.. human rights.. gun control.. healthcare for all.. relationships with other nations.. affordable post education.. shall I keep going?
It’s ridiculous that you’re so uneducated that you think Canada will collapse without America. We’re truly free up here.
