It’s the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
The plight of the #PalestineRefugees remains the longest unresolved refugee crisis in the world.
In the past year #Gaza has experienced the most intense bombardment of a civilian population since World War II.
#CeasefireNow
On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, we send our solidarity to the children of Gaza and the West Bank.
Palestinian children deserve safe and peaceful childhoods free from violence and discrimination.
History will not forgive those who turned a blind eye to their suffering.
We are continuing to urge the UK government to use its power and influence to secure an immediate, definitive ceasefire, and suspend all arms sales to the Government of Israel.
Thanks to all EIS members and friends who took part in yesterday's day of action for peace.
The EIS stands with all those who are speaking out for an immediate ceasefire and a lasting peace.
Allan Crosbie, EIS President, speaking in support of amendment 7 at the #ETUCE2024
"We in the EIS are committed to teacher empowerment and teacher autonomy, and to protecting our role as curriculum-makers who respond to the needs of our learners taking account of relevant social, political and global issues."
