Totally agree.
Often, you can't figure out what you need to build until you build the wrong thing and get it in front of actual users.
Good news is that it's easier than ever to get *something* built and in front of actual users.
Congrats man!
I think that is the safest way. For me it was different, I needed to stop everything completely to get back into building mode. I had a small dev agency and that was draining me so I left, my business partner stayed with the agency..
I thought in 6 months I was going to make money but that was not true. It’s taking me longer. I have savings and incomes from other investments to keep going but I still believe keeping a revenue stream is very important
I'm sending couple of emails for my free trials users but the one that is getting most replies (maybe 30%) is this one (plain text, no styling):
"I'm Eduardo, founder of SimpleListings. I noticed you tried the product but didn't continue — totally fine. Your properties are still live on the Free plan. I'd just love to understand what happened. Was it missing something you needed? Was it confusing? Did you find another solution?"
Users come back with a feedback, which is really valuable to keep building the tool my users want!
It’s seems that SMEs in developing economies will go straight to AI agents powered by WhatsApp and they will skip completely AI powered tools (CRMs, ERPs, etc). It was the same with mobile phones. People skipped computers and went straight to mobile phones.
I am not sure what the future looks like but what I can tell you is that people who spend 10-12 hours a day talking with Claude bc they're addicted are speedrunning life rn.
All aspects of life.
@denisyurchak Yep, started 4 years ago I like to visit destinations where I can dive and get work done. I would recommend Playa del Carmen in Mexico for diving and work. You can dive in Cozumel and Cenotes. You won’t get something like this anywhere else in the world
I've been building with PHP + Cursor because this is what I know. All other tools look cool but Laravel does the work for me now. What's your Stack?
