Just like moons hidden in the dark,
there will be times
when you, too,
will question your place
in the universe.
but...
Did you know that you are sun rays,
calm, like ocean waves,
tough, like montañas
magic, like stars in space?
@shaunking WTF is wrong with you? This is what you choose to focus on at a time like this? You are obsessed. People are scared and loved ones are dying and your petty-ass obsession with taking Biden down is getting old and tired. Get the fuck over it.
To every teacher that’s heading into a week of online learning I just want you to know that you’re brilliant! Many of you are jumping out of your comfort zone. Please do not pressure yourself to be perfect. This is a learning space for all of us. Celebrate yourself and have fun!
At the market today, I saw 2 buyers screaming at employees. It’s not the stock-boy’s fault there’s no toilet paper. They’re showing up to minimum-wage jobs, putting themselves at risk, to help the rest of us. Behave like civilized humans, damn it, or stay home & order online.

@marclamonthill This is absurd and ridiculous. Class sizes have already increased in many schools over the last couple of years, so yes doubling is dangerous. Not to mention, with current teacher shortages, where are they going to find people who would be willing to do this?
So. I'm curious. When did education become death by testing? Why are adults, specifically district leaders and superintendents remaining complicit in this? Help me understand how one can rationalize siphoning so much time for endless tests rather than actual teaching?
Am I the only one outraged that on NAEP 4th grade reading nationwide in 2002 the gap between whites&Blacks was 29 points on average scale scores and in 2019 it is 26. Its not a genetic issue therefore why does the gap persist?More important why we so damn quiet about it?
“You can’t do [standards and pedagogy] without relationships. Why? Because kids will work for you if they trust you. They won’t if they don’t.”
