@ThatWelshFarmer What you should be allocated and what you actually draw are two different things. When costing/budgeting if you can generate enough funds to equate to a full time equiavlent wage (cash drawn + car, house, living costs) then you should be ok. Choosing to not draw is different.
Drawings tend to be the first to stop. Essentially propping up the business with unpaid labour. I wonder how many other stakeholders in the supply chain take some time out from drawing a wage for the greater good?
Couldn't agree more with this. Integrated farming is going very 'cost of production'. There is no allowance for profit or return on investment. No profit = no drawings, no reinvestment, and difficulty repaying bank loans.
Chicken supply facing ‘crisis’ . A very accurate article facing our industry. Supermarkets haven’t learnt from the egg crisis, and continue to squeeze and push producers into loss making situations. We only need 5 pence per kilo. @tesconews https://t.co/NR4gsYRpcq

'If we do not get the labour and CO2 situation sorted out, you really will have to cancel Christmas - in terms of eating turkey anyway.'
Turkey farmer Paul Kelly calls on the government to "make decisions - and quickly" or risk a Christmas shortage.
