It's interesting, in the last few months, how many AI tools we tried, really liked, and then abandoned because they are being subsumed by large platforms.
Few examples:
Bolt >> Claude Code
Magic Patterns >> Claude Cowork + Claude Code + Claude Design
Any authoring directly in Linear >> Claude Cowork + Claude Code
A bevy of AI note-taking tools >> Copilot
Again the tools we are abandoning are great. But the additional costs aren't worth the harness intelligence any more.
Also any stand-alone app that doesn't work with my agents and context is toast eventually. Can't imagine what phone apps look like in the future. I think they are toast in general. It's going to all be "I'll have my team contact your team".
I experimented with listening to comedy on the subway. But now I've become that person who is openly laughing to themself for no apparent reason on the subway. Not sure if that's okay.
