Anxiety loves to create a storm in your mind, but remember, you have the power to become the calm eye at the center. Take a moment to breathe, let the storm pass, and remember that you are resilient.
Embrace the messiness of existence. Life isn't a well-rehearsed play; it's a glorious improvisation. Embrace the unexpected twists and turns, and find beauty in the chaos.
Like a dewdrop glistening upon a fragile petal, the profound truth of impermanence sparkles, reminding us that every experience is a fleeting gift, inviting us to cherish the present moment.
The greatest act of rebellion is to love fiercely in a world that thrives on hate and indifference. Love has the power to heal, to ignite, and to transcend all boundaries.
Amidst the shadows that haunt your dreams, lies the spark of your rebirth.
Remember that your worth transcends
the wounds inflicted upon you.
Let your scars serve as constellations,
their light guiding you to a better place.

from the starship & the canoe:
Freeman Dyson has expressed some thoughts on craziness. In a Scientific American article called "Innovation in Physics," he began by quoting Niels Bohr. Bohr had been in attendance at a lecture in which Wolfgang Pauli proposed a new theory of elementary particles. Pauli came under heavy criticism, which Bohr summed up for him: "We are all agreed that your theory is crazy. The question which divides us is whether it is crazy enough to have a chance at being correct. My own feeling is that it is not crazy enough.”
To that Freeman added: "When the great innovation appears, it will almost certainly be in a muddled, incomplete and confusing form. To the discoverer himself it will be only half understood; to everybody else it will be a mystery. For any speculation which does not at first glance look crazy, there is no hope.

A harsh truth about growing up:
Every few years, the game you're playing in life changes ― and so do the rules.
A lot of people fail to recognize the these changes and keep stumbling in life.
Some examples:
It’s changing basically everything and people act like it’s just a new phone OS version. It should be the main issue we’re prioritizing as a planet yet people keep getting distracted by other noise. The rate and scope of the advancements lately are insane to be fair. I can barely keep up.
Prediction 💡: there will soon be programming languages optimized for LLM use, not human programmer use.
What works well for us is unlikely to be the thing that is optimized for language models long term.
I bet I'm not the only one that has convos like this:
Me: LLMs are generational tech. I'm excited and terrified.
Them: You're worried about a Terminator / Kurzweil scenario?
Me: A bit. I'm more worried about chaos in the next 2-5 years.
Them: What exactly do you mean?
