Golden pheasant also known as the Chinese pheasant, and rainbow pheasant.
Her warning is specific: American politics has been racist, she notes, but calling people insects or parasites is categorically different; it is the language regimes use before they strip people of their humanity entirely.
🥹🧡 After the flood, a tiny baby orangutan was found alone, clinging to a floating log. Thanks to a caring rescue team, fear turned into trust, and hope replaced heartbreak. A beautiful reminder that compassion can change a life. 🦧❤️

Graham Platner: “We have watched the largest transfer of wealth from the working class to the ruling class in the history of this nation. In 1990, there were fewer than 80 billionaires in the US. Today there are over 900. When you look around, do you see a state of Maine that is 10x wealthier? Do we have 10x the schools? 10x the hospitals? No. In fact, we have less. Fewer schools, fewer hospitals. There is no coincidence that in the time that has happened we have seen the existence of people like Elon Musk occur”
Eisenhower was an individual of personal integrity brought up in an America that differs from our own. maybe the US is just too large today, & "national identity" is no longer a reasonable expectation. with his flaws, clearly a remarkable human being. far from perfect, yet morally, radically different from political leaders today for whom polls, ultra-wealthy donors, retaining power is all that matters.
An Arkansas woman was left bleeding out while suffering a miscarriage after doctors were unable to properly treat her due to the state's strict abortion ban. Emily Waldorf survived and is now suing the state challenging its abortion ban, citing its danger to women's health.

And the monied interests — as exemplified on the editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post — argue that antitrust shouldn’t be enforced. Why? Because of a man named Robert Bork.
🚨 SCIENTISTS MAY HAVE FOUND SOMETHING FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION
What if reality is far stranger than we ever imagined?
Researchers have detected mysterious particle signals that don't seem to fit our current understanding of the universe. Some scientists believe these strange anomalies could be hints of hidden dimensions beyond the three dimensions we experience every day.
If confirmed, this discovery could change everything we know about space, gravity, dark matter, and the structure of reality itself. Are these particles visitors from a hidden realm, or are they revealing a deeper layer of the cosmos that has been invisible all along?
The universe may be hiding secrets far beyond what we can see... and we might have just caught a glimpse of them.

Genetically modified mosquitoes have been released in Florida as part of a major effort to suppress disease-carrying wild populations.
The United States has launched a groundbreaking and controversial public health initiative by releasing Oxitec’s bioengineered male Aedes aegypti mosquitoes in the Florida Keys.
These engineered males do not bite humans. Instead, when they mate with wild female mosquitoes, they pass on a self-limiting gene that causes female offspring to die before reaching adulthood. This mechanism gradually reduces the overall mosquito population over multiple generations.
The project offers a promising alternative to traditional chemical insecticides, which have become less effective due to growing resistance in mosquito populations. Previous field trials conducted by Oxitec in Brazil, Panama, and the Cayman Islands achieved reductions of over 90 percent in local Aedes aegypti numbers, the primary vectors for Zika, dengue, and yellow fever.
While the approach has drawn criticism from some environmental groups, its success could mark a significant shift in how vector-borne diseases are controlled in the United States, particularly as climate change expands the range of these dangerous insects.
