When you receive Ksh 18 in dividends, people tell you itโs pointless.
When your dividends reach Ksh 117.25, they tell you itโs a waste of time.
Once youโre earning Ksh 1,000, they start getting curious.
At Ksh 10,000, they start asking questions.
When you hit Ksh 100,000, suddenly itโs โmust be nice.โ
People rarely notice the small contributions, the years of patience, or the discipline behind the numbers.
They notice when the results become visible.
So keep investing. Keep reinvesting. Keep compounding. The results will speak for themselves. ๐ฐ
My KCB investment:
From Ksh 172,821 to Ksh 860,000
Gain: Ksh 687,179
Lesson:
Patience matters when investing. Buy low, stay invested & enjoy the bumpy ride.
Warren Buffett: โBe fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful.โ

โ Former Principal Secretary Esther Koimett has emerged as the largest shareholder in Middle East Bank Kenya, owning 17.48% of the tier-three lender after inheriting the stake from her late father, billionaire Nicholas Biwott.
โ KRA has lost its bid to deny Consolidated Bank of Kenya a KES 264.9M bad-debt tax deduction tied to unpaid loans by borrowers, marking a significant victory for the industry.
โ Life insurers registered a sharp rise in premium income in Q1 2026, lifted by a surge in NSSF savings channeled through insurance products.
โ Kenyans now view China's influence more positively than the United States', a new survey shows, as Beijing expands its trade, infrastructure and investment footprint across Africa.
โ With one year to go before the 2027 General Election, Kenya enters its final stretch of poll preparations, with President Ruto set to face contenders in a vote that will govern the country through 2032.
If there is one set of results investors are keenly watching, it is KCB Group's H1 2026 results.
KCB is one of the few listed banks still trading below book value. Management has also signaled plans to increase its dividend payout over the coming years, while the bank's non-performing loan (NPL) ratio continues to improve. Its regional subsidiaries also continue to deliver strong results.
Investors will also be keen to see whether the bank's diversification into new income streams, such as investment banking and bancassurance, is making a meaningful contribution to operating income.
The stock is already up 30.8% year-to-date. Will the H1 results provide another catalyst?
Stay tuned.
