The Quarterback series on Netflix made me really like Kirk Cousins and him showing up to a Halloween party for fans just one day after tearing his Achilles makes me think he’s an even better dude than I already thought.

In 2013, after tearing his achilles the day before — and his career now in jeopardy — 34-year-old Kobe Bryant took to Facebook to air out his thoughts.
On what would have been his 45th birthday, a masterclass on perseverance we can all learn from:
Spent the 8-hour flight back from Croatia watching Netflix’s “Quarterback” and it was as excellent as hoped.
Thoughts:
— Kirk Cousins showed all that QBs go through simply to play. He spent most of last season in pain, no one knew it, and the work was constant.
— Patrick Mahomes’ hilarious trash talk is a highlight, as is his relationship with and respect for Andy Reid. You get a good look at how Reid makes it fun.
— Marcus Mariota’s exit was as weighty as it seemed, and there still aren’t great answers. The emotion was palpable.
Overall — it was tremendous.
Cody Bellinger hitting a 420-foot home run on 4/20 is indisputable proof that the Baseball Gods exist. I will hear no further argument until the end of time.
The Lakers go over .500 for the first time all season at 39-38 with a massive win in MIN. AD, after turning his ankle in the 3rd Q, stayed in to score 17 of his 38 pts in the 4th Q. He shot 15-for-26 with 17r 2b; LeBron 18p on 7-of-19 10r 6a 2b; Reaves 15p 6r; D’Angelo 12p 10a 2s; Vando 12p 5r 2s; Schroder 11p 6a 2s. Five games left in the regular season.
