@bloodylikeabod Work and markets are human nature, and while there should be guard rails and safety nets, any concept of a society that doesn’t involve work and exchange of goods is hopelessly naive.
@thedanholo@mktoon I think the full property is in both now, but Reedy Creek was created for tax purposes. Either way, technically not within Orlando, but referring to the nearest large metro area isn’t exactly wrong for either location.
@CelticknotterTO@GlennCraven@gracemt95 @ahm_therebel @dieworkwear It’s a pretty bulky gauge, which makes it quicker. Socks take forever because they’re made of tiny yarn which is more stitches per inch. The color work would slow things down a bit, but gauge matters way more.
@Angry_Staffer I don’t *love* the optics, but, it protects him in the next administration, because otherwise they’d make him a target, so I get the necessity. Big “meh” on this.
@ahm_therebel @dieworkwear So can I. And if you wanted it made of hand dyed merino, the yarn would cost around $250. Just because grandma can do it doesn’t mean it’s not an art form, doesn’t cost money, or isn’t worthy of a little respect.
@cats_catcatcat@peachofababy There’s also the fact that they can *know* exactly what you want them to do or not do, and just… decide to disobey. You’re not the pack leader like you are with a dog. You’re more like a roommate making a polite request. They might do it. If they feel like it.
@BJJ_rag@DrNadolsky And I assume it was probably a bit harder for her than it would be for a 28 year old guy with just a little extra. Which was the point. Not that it can never be done, but that it IS MORE DIFFICULT for some people than it is for others.
@uncledoomer 15 miles is a reasonable commute. The joke in the meme is the U turn. She’s chosen a place that requires them to backtrack on the road trip.
