An Anthropic engineer paid for my espresso at Sightglass when he saw my screen

I was running my Polymarket bot from the counter. He was next in line. Looked over my shoulder. Stopped scrolling.

"That's not a normal trading app. What's it actually running on"

I told him. Claude Code. Four repos. $25 a month.

He sat down without asking.

"I'm on the agent team. We stress test Claude for exactly this. You're letting it find its own edges"

Not just edges. Wallets.

86 million trades. Every wallet. Every entry. Every exit.

"You're feeding Claude raw wallet data and letting it identify who consistently wins. Then cloning them"

He said it slowly. Like he was writing the threat model in his head.

One prompt. Find every wallet with 100 plus trades and win rate above 70%. Rank by profit. Export top 50.

Claude scanned 14,000 wallets in 4 minutes. Returned 47.

The top 20 made more than the bottom 13,000 combined.

Claude did. I just wired it into an if-statement.

Then I showed him the second repo.

@iamtomnash @iamtomnash AI5 isnt 10x faster than NVidia’s best by any comparison - except specific to Tesla’s workloads. AI5 is an extreme ASIC, custom hardware for Tesla’s specific algorithms. but hand over the chip to any other company and it won’t work! Nivida will still rule chips!

The only question remains is, will google - move to the robotaxi like hardware and software to reduce the cost disadvantage and if so, how long will it take? Or will google take bottom line and ebita hits by running at very low margins in a sub-scale format? Or will it shut down?

Ross is so garbled in his thinking. Wayne is seriously limited by the following-
1. Cars. Waymo’s car partners are able to deliver tops few thousands of vehicles a year. They have a new car contract - not fully proven yet. The proven jaguars have been phased out.

This brings us to the final thought. If waymo does not have a scale advantage or a unit economics advantage or an experience advantage or even a capital availability advantage over robotaxi, how is it going to beat the leader in the field?
