We have preliminary approval of our CASP license 🎉 Once fully approved, European banks, FIs and fintechs will be able to access our end-to-end cryptoasset and stablecoin payments infrastructure through a single regulated integration. The next wave of institutional digital asset adoption in Europe is here!

From @money2020 Europe, @CraddockCJ breaks down how @Ripple is connecting the full digital asset stack - payments, custody, and tokenization - on one infrastructure. ⤵️
One thing we consistently hear from banks and financial institutions is that while they recognise the benefits of digital asset technology, they require a straightforward way of accessing those benefits.
They're looking for trusted partners to help them meet a range of needs including custody, liquidity, settlement and compliance, to allow them to focus on what matters most: delivering better experiences for their customers.
What’s more, as the digital assets industry matures financial institutions want partners who combine innovative technology with regulatory certainty - that's why obtaining licences around the world is an important strategic priority for @Ripple. Our recent licences in the UK and Luxembourg build on the regulatory foundation that enables us to deliver faster, more transparent and more cost-effective cross-border payments in a compliant way.
In light of this, I recently joined Paul on FinTech Future’s ‘What the FinTech?’ podcast to discuss Ripple's strategy and investment in the UK and Europe, the region’s evolving regulatory landscape, and the future of cross-border payments.
Thanks to Paul and the team for having me on. You can listen to our conversation here.

Amsterdam delivered.
Money20/20 Europe continues to be one of the most energising events in the European calendar, and this year felt like a genuine inflection point. The Ripple lounge was busy throughout, and the quality of dialogue was genuinely impressive. From custody and stablecoins to treasury management and tokenisation, the depth of conversation reflected just how seriously institutions are now engaging with this space.
What struck me across the week was a shift in how people are framing the opportunity. Less asking should they engage with crypto and more how do they quickly get on board with the technology. Banks, fintechs, and payment providers are moving from exploration to execution.
Europe is well placed to lead here. The regulatory foundations are being laid, institutional appetite is real, and the infrastructure exists. The institutions moving now are the ones who will define the next decade of financial services.
Genuinely honoured to be named as one of the Financial News Rising Stars of European Finance 2026.
The past year at @Ripple has been one of the most defining of my career. We’ve delivered our digital assets infrastructure to some of Europe’s biggest banks, including @bbva and @intesasanpaolo . We’ve secured licences in the UK and EU, enabling us to offer fully licensed crypto-enabled cross-border payments across the region. And at a global level we've made a series of landmark acquisitions which we are incorporating into our business - including here in Europe - to significantly expand what Ripple can offer across payments, treasury and trading.
This has been complex, demanding work. But it's also been a reminder of what's possible when you focus on what matters and have the right team around you.
I joined Ripple over eight years ago, when blockchain was still finding its feet. Watching this industry mature, while playing my small part in that here at Ripple, is something I'm genuinely proud of.

Winners 🏆
Last night, @ColU_Women won the @EssexCountyFA Trophy, and I had the honour of captaining the side.
Three seasons, three trophies — there’s no better feeling than winning.
This one felt even more special, celebrating with our little guy Toby as our number one fan.
One more season? Go on then ⚽️🚀
Ripple Custody has been on a tear the past few months. Digital asset custody is the foundation for any enterprise moving into crypto, whether you’re a bank or a fintech. Ripple Custody is built for how and where customers already operate — customizable to their needs, not one-size-fits-all.
With Ripple Custody you get:
- Flexible deployment (SaaS, on-prem, hybrid)
- Integrations across payments, tokenization, and staking
- Stronger controls + simpler workflow
These capabilities are clearly resonating, with new global customers like Kbank and Kyobo Life Insurance joining BBVA, Intesa Sanpaolo, AMINA Bank, and others on our roster. Proud of the team for meeting our customers where they are, and continuing to ship a top-tier product.
Digital asset adoption has moved from pilot to production. In my view, nowhere is that clearer than in Europe.
Custody is the infrastructure layer that is making this transformation possible. Without secure, compliant custody architecture, digital asset strategies, be it payments, tokenization, staking or treasury management, inherit impractical risk.
@Ripple Custody has seen some huge momentum in the early part of 2026. In Italy for instance, @intesasanpaolo one of Europe's leading banks, is now using Ripple Custody to support its digital asset initiatives. A clear signal of where European institutional adoption is heading, as well as the standard of infrastructure required to get there.
Embedded compliance, enterprise-grade key management, institutional staking, and real-world asset custody across new markets: each capability exists to remove friction so institutions can go live faster, operate with confidence, and scale without compromise.
The next phase won't be defined by experimentation; it will be defined by operational maturity. Custody is where that starts.

Best breakfast meeting ever — when the CEO of the bank you proudly support turns up with their adorable sausage dog 😍 Now that’s how you start the day! 🇫🇷🌭
Paris Blockchain Week 2026: done!
From the Ripple Roadshow Paris where we were joined by fantastic speakers including David Durouchoux, Myles Harrison, and Frédéric Dalibard, to Paris Blockchain Week itself, to the Mastercard Crypto Day at the Eiffel Tower, to Societe Generale - FORGE’s event at the French Ministry of Finance, every conversation pointed in the same direction: institutional adoption of digital assets isn't something that’s on the horizon. It's happening now.
The debate has moved on. The focus is on infrastructure and real-world use cases. And the people I was fortunate enough to spend time with this week are the ones building it. Banks, asset managers, fintechs, and regulators, all discussing how to do this properly and at scale.
A huge thanks to our Roadshow speakers; to Mastercard and Societe Generale - FORGE for hosting me; to our clients, partners and everyone who joined us across the week; and to the Ripple team who made it all happen behind the scenes.
The energy was real, the momentum even more so.
À l'année prochaine!
@CraddockCJ (@Ripple) has been building for 14 years. The focus: end-to-end digital infrastructure so that banks can build their own digital asset business — faster, cheaper, on robust rails.
Bridges between TradFi and DeFi don't build themselves. 🌉
What an incredible evening to celebrate @Ripple's recent regulatory milestones in the UK and EU.
I'm still pinching myself — but yes, we really did lift Tower Bridge for a Ripple-branded boat to pass through. 🚢
It felt like the perfect backdrop. Our EMI licence and Cryptoasset Registration from the UK's FCA, alongside our EU EMI licence, mean that the bridge between TradFi and DeFi is officially open - and last night we made that quite literal. The era of experimentation is over and regulated, institutional-grade production is here.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the top of Tower Bridge to mark the occasion, and to my colleagues across the UK and Europe who work tirelessly to build the future of finance. This moment belongs to you.
Financial institutions aren’t looking for standalone solutions — they want a true end-to-end infrastructure partner that they can build with.
@Ripple is uniquely positioned to deliver exactly that. Proud of the momentum we’re building🚀
Delighted that @SG_Forge EUR CoinVertible is officially live on the XRP Ledger!
Bringing EUR CoinVertible to the XRPL is a huge win for the ecosystem, combining institutional-grade compliance with the speed and low costs the XRPL is known for.
Proud to have @Ripple’s custody tech powering this milestone
@CraddockCJ@Ripple Your partnership and support are making a huge difference at GOSH. The new Children's Cancer Centre will be a game changer for children with complex and difficult-to-treat cancers – thank you 🩵
Huge news from @Ripple and @GOSHCharity
We’re beyond proud to be helping the world-renowned children’s hospital to unlock crypto philanthropy by making it easier for global supporters to donate using digital assets.
Last year, Ripple became the charity's first-ever crypto donor with £60,000 in XRP, building on our £100,000 pledge for the new Children’s Cancer Centre. Plus, our team has personally raised another £25,000 through marathons, bike rides and more!
Innovation meets impact to ensure no childhood is lost to serious illness. 🚀
