Burry's thesis/assumption is that obsolescence will impact financial results. Friedberg's assumption is that obsolescence is not a factor. I'd look at Nvidia's R&D spend and technological feasibility for new products as an indicator. Based on capital AI spend ($90b Google in 2025), it would be hard to imagine realizing full useful lives in the coming years.
