Last week @AndraVomir and I flew to SF to join @dubdotco's offsite.
10,000+ Slack messages over 3 years with @steventey.
Five days together moved the business further than all of them.
That moment when your favorite product builder (@steventey) sends over their YouTube Recap...
...and @efficientapp is somehow right behind MrBeast as their top watched channel 🥹
$60M raise. $550M valuation.
These numbers don't "just happen." Not luck. Not timing. Just sheer relentlessness and obsession.
I'm a better founder and product builder because of Harry.
Here's what I saw first-hand: the qualities the numbers don't show 👇
@williamhockey love what you're doing with @column and love that you're playing friendly with @mercury.
Also love what @Plaid has done for the banking world.
You and your wife are 🐐
(love a fellow couple in business too)
That is all.
That would be https://t.co/sITLnpMlYs by the talented @steventey
He's a unicorn in that he's one of the fastest builders I've ever met (incredible engineer), but also marketing & CEO.
Constantly blown away by their product velocity for such a small team (@actualTimWilson is also incredible).
They are also pre-series A so I'll take the gold star as well please ⭐🙏
Anyone remember Wunderlist? It had 16 MILLION users in its peak and was acquired by Microsoft in 2015 for over $100M, and then 5 years later, in 2020, they shut it down.
People were MAD.
The moment when:
You get to share a graph of hockey stick growth happening
...for your own startup (fully bootstrapped)
…over a decade in the making (an overnight success)
Super grateful @andravomir and I get to experience what this milestone feels like via @efficientapp 🥹🥲
Now that our tech stack has been decided…
I need your help (again), this time for our new logo!

Celebrating a nice win today: @dubdotco just got featured on @zapier "7 best URL shorteners in 2024" article 🥳
The article – which ranks #1 on Google for "best url shortener" – mentions Dub as the "best modern URL shortener".
Thank you @HarryGuinness for including us!
Sounds like @businessbarista just outed what we've been working on in stealth over at https://t.co/MCoHqxk9eg the past couple years.
This is just the tip of the iceberg though. Share your stack and find your stack with no-BS expert advice from https://t.co/ulL6HT4cXr
Stay tuned
I'm so insanely grateful that @mercury exists.
For work, my past 2 business banks went out of business: Seed, Azlo 🪦
For personal, my past 2 startup banks went out of business: Simple, One 🪦 (well Walmart acquired One™ of them 🤮)
Have been using Mercury personal after begging @immad and the team on X on a monthly basis for the past couple years, because I missed the heck out of Simple (as I've personally confirmed every single person I got on it, does as well). It genuinely felt like the only company that could do what it takes was Mercury.
I'm here to tell you that Mercury Personal is like Simple, but for adults™. Pretty sure I was the first external user to be onboarded because I was being so annoying (sorry—not sorry), and I fully embraced it, because life isn't fun unless you're throwing your entire financial world into complete chaos by switching over all of your personal accounts to a new bank every couple years 🤷♂️
Oh, and being able to invest into a startup 👋 @dubdotco via a Mercury SAFE through my personal Mercury account on my phone while going through airport customs from Paris with @AndraVomir with luggage in hand was the closest thing to magic that I've felt in my entire adult life 🤯
People don't even know what this means, but they will... soon.
With Mercury, I'm certain that this is the last time that I'll ever switch banks again. For work (of course), and now personal as well.
Just want to say thank you @immad for taking the chance to build what the world has needed for over a decade, but hasn't been able to figure out.
Thank you to the amazing Mercury team that put up with my almost daily feedback, Alexey especially 🥹 Truman as well, you're all amazing and have built an incredible product.
(In their defense, I was told not to make this my daily driver and it was in alpha, but I switched every single account over to Mercury that day—sorry team, I can't help it 😅)
I'm NEVER switching ANY of my banks ever again. This is the last time, I'm sure of it.
Well done team. 👏 Well 👏 DONE. 👏
🥇 Best designer plz join @dubdotco
🥈 2nd best designer, plz freelance with us to redesign @efficientapp
🥉 3rd best designer, keep on keeping on, you got this!
It's not often that you get to have a front-row seat to a startup moving toward PMF (as most early-stage startups never actually make it there).
What @steventey has been able to accomplish since going full-time as a solo founder with @dubdotco has been incredibly impressive 🚀📈
March was the best-ever month for @dubdotco.
◆ Clicks tracked → 5.4M (all-time high, +59% from Feb)
◆ Links created → 31.3K (+36%)
◆ Total active domains → 2,563 (+25%)
◆ MRR increased by a whopping 47.2% 🤯

Paris has an AWESOME software startup scene! 🤯
We spent 5 weeks in Paris last year, meeting over a dozen startup founders + VC's, oh and we vlogged it:
Featuring: @arcinternet (@browsercompany) @FolkHQ@SliteHQ@surfehq
We accidentally built a 6–figure business this past year using no-code: @webflow + @WhalesyncData + @airtable + @zapier 🫶
We're now going to (re)build in public: follow along as the journey unfolds 👀
✅ Step 1: MVP product (@efficientapp)
✅ Step 2: Grow to $100K/ARR
✅ Step 3: Find a fractional CTO — @bobDotJS 👋
⌛ Step 4: Lock-in tech stack (will share what we're thinking soon)
