@sarahschauer I like to imagine that I inherited my body type from one of my strong ass ancestors. Yes this body is chunky, it also survived harsh winters and lifted hella bales on the farm
I was there for the end of a life long anorexic. She was in her early 50’s and had suffered her entire life from anorexia with periods of recovery and relapse. All those years of starvation had trashed her liver and kidneys. Her stomach and intestines were messed up too.
She was admitted to ICU at about 8pm. She was severely dehydrated and malnourished from another relapse. I guess that because she was older now no one in her family had paid much attention when she had stopped eating. Again. She collapsed at home and her family brought her to hospital. Even in the ICU there wasn’t much we could do for her.
I was pretty horrified by how nasty the other nurses were to her. They seemed to think this was her fault. I sat with her and held her hand. She died in the early hours of that morning.
@NewsFromGoogle You guys are living in a complete bubble. Step outside Silicon Valley for two seconds and you’ll realize no actual human wants AI sludge crammed into every corner of every product. Touch grass. Talk to actual people.
@LegoKingo@LibertyMutual at what point is it enough. what did we do to deserve this scourge that haunts us through any visual audio media? is this part of humanity’s final judgement as we descend into the inferno?
