Web3 Smart Wallet and Account Abstraction: the path to 1 billion users

The world of cryptocurrencies is buzzing with potential, and the race is on!

The current ceiling for Monthly Active Users (MAU) of crypto exchanges stands at 35 million, while Web3 wallets are not far behind with a cap of 20 million users.

The real question is: who among the major players - #TrustWallet, #CoinbaseWallet, #MetaMask, or #Worldcoin - will revolutionize the game by introducing a super user-friendly Smart Wallet functionality?

Right now, these platforms are attracting between 500,000 to 2 million users per month. However, a significant portion of these newcomers fade away without even making a single transaction. Why? Because the current system is riddled with outdated practices:

- Seed phrases? They're as old as the hills.
- Taking more than 8 seconds to create a wallet? That's ancient history.
- Paying for gas only in native tokens? So last year.
- No first free transaction? That's a thing of the past.
- Built-in browsers? They're going the way of the dinosaurs.

Sure, you can dress up the user experience (UX) all you want, but Web3 won't truly scale until the underlying mechanisms are user-friendly. And let's face it, Web3 will continue to be a hotbed for social effect scams until its structure becomes as simple and understandable as an atom.

Enter the Smart Wallet, a solution already hinted at by none other than @VitalikButerin. This innovation could simplify even the most basic transactions, like paying for your morning coffee at a cafe.

The real race in Web3 is about who among the flagship products will be the fastest to implement account abstraction (AA). The moment one of these big players solves the issues of gas payments and login, the Web3 economy will be set to scale like never before.

Imagine a wallet breaking through the 100 million MAU barrier, with a high proportion of Web3 interactions. That's the future we're looking at. And whoever controls the gateway (the Wallets) will control the entire economy. They could even create their own token OVER the blockchain native through an easy promotion program.

Whether it's our beloved #TWT, the future #MASK, the unexpected #BASE token, or #WLD, time is of the essence. The next 1 to 6 months will be crucial in the wallet race and the next round of Wallet adoption.
