@lonesharkoy 2 separate issues: All Ireland revenue and - what a club does with its allocation of tickets - are two very different things. AI ticket Prices are set by Croke Park. Nobody in my club is a Croke Park employee. Raffle a few tickets to keep the lights on (literally). Yes to that.

@mrcolmcrowley The weather is the problem. You could play several rounds of the league from early Jan if an indoor arena (like Racing 92) was built. Parking, restaurants, kids play area etc. Play multiple games per day on sat and Sundays. The final 2 rounds and knockouts to be played outdoors.

@darrybunne @brianoh91 They introduced 65s first (about 6 yrs ago?). That didn’t feel right as it was mistakes by the (often inexperienced) shooter that gave the win. Penalties are shit - agreed - but it takes super execution to score one. Facing the mad lad in goals is daunting so credit to Thomas’s.

@mrcolmcrowley @waldron_naoise @AlleyLegend The thing is, the blitz approach doesn’t cater for the cohort that want to “drive on and win stuff”. For me, have your go games up to age 13. (Perhaps the majority will enjoy that?) However, there has to be an outlet for competitive kids too. Room for both is what I’m saying.

@MartinKiely1 Couldn’t agree with that comment. As someone who values my club activities, the split season has been great I think. We’ve had 2 months of great club action - mostly in decent weather on dry pitches - the way it’s meant to be. What’s not to like ?
