"Let me tell you a story

The BBC went out to check if the 2023 presidential elections were rigged

They chose to look out alteration of results

Rivers figures attracted attention

They went to Rivers

A cursory survey

They chose Oyigbo and Obio Akpor LGAs

In those two places, they discovered that so many things happened

Jagaban's figures were massively inflated

And Obi's figures were massively reduced

But that wasn't all

Something outstanding happened in Oyigbo

INEC it seemed abandoned its collated results and announced something else. The BBC found a collated results sheet for Oyigbo

They tallied Oyigbo figures from results published by INEC on IREV

But the figures didn't match the INEC announced figures

So why did INEC abandon its own LGA collation result sheet?

They went to look for the Dr Dickson Ariaga

He was the man who announced the results for Oyigbo LGA

The man had introduced himself as a staff of Federal Govt College Omoku

While announcing the results his figures for small parties matched the figures on the Oyigbo result sheet that BBC found

But when he got to APC and Labour the man did
abracadabra

For APC he announced 16,630 instead of 2731

For LP he announced 10,784 instead of 22,289

So BBC decided to find the man to question him about the magic

They went to Fed College of Education, Omoku.

The school said they didn't know any Dr Dickson Ariaga.

He wasnt on their staff roll.

Baffling.

They went to INEC in PH. INEC said they couldn't answer the questions

They went to INEC in Abuja. Abuja said they would not speak because cases were in court

They found a Dr Dickson Ariaga on Facebook. But the wouldn't respond to questions.
