@MorbidKnowledge Well that contract ended last year. He reached the max eligibility under MLB rules. But they are working with his family to continue care. Ya the Dodgers are ruining baseball.
On today’s episode of MAGA are the dumbest (with a b) people on the plant: We have a MAGA influencer committing a crime and then making a video about it.
@sailman_5 Bro pretending this isn't the natural evolution of dream's up & under. I'm fact I'm pretty sure I've seen highlights of him doing this exact same move
Chad Ochocinco says he saved over 80% of his fortune by not trying to impress people, adding he buys fake jewelry, drives the same car since 2006, and flies economy instead of private 👀🤔
"Everybody is caught up in image."
"Why buy a $50,000 watch when time is free?"
Take a couple of minutes and listen to this Republican history teacher on why he opposes the South Carolina legislature redrawing maps to eliminate the one district that has black representation. We need more Republicans to speak out on this. Volume up!!
Here's an inconvenient truth all the "everybody wants to move to Florida because California has high taxes" people never stop to actually consider:
The difference between a crazy high taxed state and a "supposed" low tax state (more on that myth later)? It's about 10%. That's it. 10% isn't nothing, but if you quantify it for people and ask "would you spend 10% more to live in an idyllic paradise vs. a hellhole?", most of them would say yes.
10% to not have to deal with all the bugs your wife is terrified of. 10% to be able to go out and enjoy the outdoors any time you want without risking heat exhaustion or feeling like you need a shower after 30 seconds. 10% for access to exponentially more culture, cuisine, convenient travel, shorter distances to different environments vs. just an endless path of the same oppressive weather. 10% for 200% quality of life is a deal.
For most of us, a higher tax bill is just a line on a spreadsheet somewhere. It doesn't materially affect anything. Most of us (myself included) will gripe about it and will take some steps to mitigate it where possible (for example, I will NOT be a California resident this year because of the pending legislation, though I'm spending more of my year here than anywhere else thanks to the 6M+1D loophole).
The "wealth tax" proposal in California is problematic because it attempts to tax unrealized gains. That's a real issue. But 99% of you I see chirping about tax rates between states don't even realize you're not even paying an extra 10% because with a 40K salt deduction, most of you don't feel the effects of a state level tax program, anyways.
Zero regrets about going from low tax FL to high tax CA now that we don't have to worry about the social impact on the kids.
